I had a discussion with one of my mates about the game releases in November and he said that he plans on playing COD AW, Assassins Creed Unity, GTA 5, Sunset Overdrive and the Halo collection when they release. I told him it's nearly impossible to play all those games consistently without one of them getting ignored but he was adamant that he will manage and has done it before.

I was curious to see if SW users are the same, trying coping with the numerous game releases this holiday season. I can't play more than 2 games at a time and 1 of them has to be a shooter whilst the other is a heavy single player game such as Assassins Creed Unity.

My holiday season will be dominated by COD AW ( First great COD since MW2 IMO)

Will yours be dominated by one or several games at a time?

I almost never buy more than one game at once. I find that I get more value out of the games I do buy that way, and it also allows me to get most games for far cheaper than if I bought everything on day one. I'm also a PC gamer though, so most games go on sale faster, more often, and on deeper discount than in the console world.

Late December X1 purchase with MCC, FH2, SO & GTA5 but I'll be off work for more than a week so I should be able to get some time on all of them but mostly I agree, one game at a time but I always buy at least three games when I buy a new system.

I agree. I like to 100% games and I feel that I am rushing whenever I have too many games to play at one time.

I install different games . Try them all at once . The one I like the most , is played by me until it's done. I don't play many games at once . I just want to focus one game at a time to fully experience its lore, gameplay mechanics , art style etc.

Yeah I always play only one game at a time, because I would drop it if I started another one.

Yeah, but it usually depends if i'm playing more for the campaign or for pure gameplay.

When i'm playing a game for the single player/campaign style, i focus on 1 at a time. This can be for any genre, like even for FIFA career mode.

When it's just about gaming without some story/carrer/campaign behind it, i play multiplate ones depend on the feeling. Even to suplement my single player if i have one.

It can be racing games, fighting games, sports games, first person shooters, etc.

For example, when i'm playing The Witcher 3, no other single player game is getting in. But if Mortal Kombat X releases, i'll probably slow down on TW3, and try to give time to both.

Same for FC4 and Super Smash bros

I'm too poor to buy more than one game at a time, anyways (if we're talking new releases). Hell AC Unity will be the first game I've bought full price since Bioshock Infinite.

So yeah, I usually play one at a time. Only exception is during and after the Steam Summer Sale (and potentially the holiday sale).

Well I only planned on getting two games this month...COD AW and Far Cry but seeing as the COD AW online multi player is dull as dishwater I imagine I will pick up AC Unity and The MCC asap also.

I seem to be the only person who thinks the new cod multiplayer is shit.

Usually 2 maybe 3 games with one main, For the rest of the year for me it's Inquisition with some Sunset challenge hunting and Killer Instinct Season 2 sprinkled in between.

@Netret0120: I know the feeling, I bought Bayonetta 2 and Sunset last Tuesday, I've barely touched Bayonetta and have been playing Sunset a lot and am almost done with the story. After that I'll put it on the back burner when MCC and AC comes out. I was debating on getting the new COD but that's on the back burner too for now. Then comes Smash and Pokemon at end of the month.

I'm just pushing some games into December, the only things in Dec that I want are Captain Toad and KH 2.5. Halo and Pokemon AS are going to eat up the majority of my time though.

Get as many as you want. The new CoD game sucks by the way. Unity is looking good... other than that... everything else still in the distance for me.

November is chaotic for me. I'm already playing CoD: AW and AC Unity and MCC are right around the corner, and then there's Tales of Hearts R and Far Cry 4, GTA V and Dragon Age 3 and Pokemon and Super Smash Bros as well. I'll try them when they come out, then select which ones to play now and the others can wait a few weeks.

I usually don't buy games at full price period, let alone multiple games at full price. In the past I had a tendency to go way overboard with Black Friday though - sometimes buying 20 or more games at a time (a mix of newer releases and old bargain bins that are featured as black friday deals).

I literally haven't bought a game in months, possibly not a single 2014 release. I'm on hiatus until I put a dent in my backlog - which I've been slowly working towards. Haven't even bought a PS4 or XB1 yet - yeah, buying hardware probably ends my hiatus from buying software - but I will probably start it slow this time.

That's a tough line-up to commit to, especially if he's big on MP. They don't call this time Brokevember for nothing. Eventually releases will dry up and he'll have stuff to hold him over. But yeah, I'd focus on as few games as possible to give them the attention they deserve.

I have never bought more than one full priced game at once. Buy a game, fully complete it, if it has good multi then play that until you're tired of it and then buy another game

Mine is being dominated by SO right now. Really enjoying it, along with FH2. MCC at some point in Nov will carry me to the Halo 5 beta.

I only usually play 1 game at a time, so I'll be starting with Halo MCC then moving onto either GTA V or FC4.

I usually play one game at a time, unless it's something I can beat in 1-2 hours, so I don't see the point of buying so many games together at release.

My son just grabs a new game and plays it until it´s done, that usually takes him about a week and then, he will have to play something else until I purchase another one; I´m the opposite, I play several games at once, 1-2 checkpoints of this one, 1-2 from that one and so, also I play the games until I have completed the achievements/trophies and difficulty levels so three or four games last me months.

@Netret0120: For me it will be mostly Horizon 2, Sunset Overdrive, Diablo 3 and Halo: MCC. I'll probably dedicate a couple hours a week for Lord of the Fallen & CoD:AW.

@Notorious1234NA: Many people hated MW3 too. It comes down to opinion because you can find major faults in all COD games. The best one was COD4 from a critical and personal level. I still play that from time to time.

Yeah I think I have to put Bayo 2 on the back burner for now. Just for the record I haven't bought this many games during the Holiday season in a while, I think the last time was 2011 when I bought Gears 3 Arkham and Skyrim for my major Holiday games, this time there's at least 3 full 60 dollar games plus a 3DS game in one month and 2 $40 games in Dec

I occasionally juggle single/multi/co-op games. In some cases, when the game is something like Civ or Sim City it's pretty easy to pick up and play between other titles.

I don't think I ever play multiple single player story games though. That doesn't sound like a good time.

Aliens Iso made me wait on FH2. Sunset Overdrive was cut into by CoD. Next week I will be getting AC Unity and MCC but should only buy one with my limited time. Far Cry 4 is put on the back burner as of now.

The good news is I have a minor surgery coming up in the begining of Dec. which gives me a mandatory 3 days of doing nothing. Yes!

When I was broke I would only play one game at a time. I remember getting Red Dead Redemption at launch. I had waited so long for it and I played the shit out of that game. Same went for Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

Fast forward to present day. I now have less free time but more money, so naturally I buy more games that I don't have time to play. Currently I juggle multiple games, but they all have to be different. Currently playing The Evil Within, The Binding Of Isaac, and Killing Floor. I put several hours into Shadow of Mordor (need to go back to that) and still have to get back to Destiny. Though to be fair, I recently Platinumed inFamous: Second Son and First Light (if I like a game, I play it fully). I also recently picked up Borderlands: The Pre Sequel on PC. Between my Steam library, PS3 backlog, and the games I already have for PS4, I can never say that I don't have something to play.

On top of all that, I already paid off FarCry 4 and GTA V PS4. Clearly, I'm insane.

It's usually 2-5 games per month at a time for me. Depending on the games that are interesting to me. I also buy older games I missed and are far cheaper than launch, so that's how I budget. Depends on my schedule, it would usually take me 5-6 months to complete. Now that we're into Gen 8, I don't buy that much games anymore. If I do find an older game that's interesting, I may buy it.

And no I haven't jumped onto Gen 8 yet.

# I always am playing 5-10 games at a time. It is fun; however, the downside is that nothing ever gets beat. (then again I play a lot of games that are not about ever finishing really)

Right now my Month is CRAZY!

Playing right now:

Bayonetta 2

Hyrule Warriors

Borderlands Pre Sequel

Final Fantasy 14

Trove (Just went free to play on November 5th! Try it you will like it :)

EQ Landmark (Do not try it......I spend so much time on it I think it has ruined my life a little, but at least I have a SWEET HOUSE!)

League of Legends (another time sink)

Diablo 3 (only hardcore player so it is a major time sink)

Hearthstone (Another big waste of time but I keep playing it :)

Smash for 3Ds

Soon: Smash WiiU/ Captain Toad/Pokémon/ and whatever pops up on steam for sale.

Side Point: Wii U/PC rules!

I'd only play a couple of brand new games at a time. Otherwise i'd only have no more than 5 games in general going at once, which are just games I go back to.

Sometimes I stick to buckling down and doing one game at a time, other times I'm a bit more scattershot, and slowly working on something until one of the games actually grabs my attention.

I don't play one game at a time, i try and juggle between them so i don't get bored of either of them. Sometimes i play 3 at a time, tho usually i play 2.

It also depends on the length of said games. If they're short, i'll juggle quite a few. If they're lengthy, i'll try and spread myself on two of them.
