Dude im always talking about this! I love indie games! Apple Jack, Miner Dip Deep, Zombie Estate, and so many others are just so much fun! I Love the price tag of 1$ per game!

If only Sony and Nintendo got games like this! Everyone should have a little indie game time there is something special about games that are made my 2 or 3 dorks in their bacement.

How are you getting on with Apple Jack? I'm only on 1-10, but it's getting very tough. Scary thing is, there's 90 more levels and according to a thread I read somewhere, it only starts getting 'difficult' after 20 :| So addictive though.

Indie games are like finding a needle in a haystack, like the other guy said "sift through the trash to find the gems".

I've gotten plenty of worthwhile Indie games:

Hive- A cool RTS with surprisingly challenging AI and an awesome "Hive Mind" function.

Armor Valley- Combines an RTS with Flying to make a bizarre but surprisingly fun game.

Gum-Drop: Celestial Galaxy- I'm not even joking. This game is just fun. NOT WHAT THE TITLE SOUNDS LIKE.

Plenty of others, I'll be sure to post them tomorrow when I get back on the 360.

XNA is terrific and good for small developers, of course the easy access to getting 360 games on the Marketplace does let some bad quality games come out (baby maker extreme for example) and all the avatar games in the indie section usually aren't fleshed out, but often these games are made by individuals or very small teams in less than or a bit more than 6 months

I'd check out Decay if you want some cool adventure gaming

Prismatic Solid does look nice. I just checked out a video on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GvAxxH8IUes It may be a little too intense for me with respect to the colors, but still a nice looking game.

I wish Australians could get Indie games. :(

I want ZP2K9, & I've seen plenty more that interest me.

There's also a game called Soul that's pretty interesting/kind of scary. I've only played it on iPhone, but it's kind of cool. You guide a bluish white orb through pathways avoiding monsters, and occasionally, a creepy girl pops up and scares you. It was difficult on the iPhone because of the tilt controls, so maybe it's better on 360. I'm downloading the trial now.

[QUOTE="Yangire"]

[QUOTE="Ravensmash"] I'm always open to suggestions. I may side with the 360, but doesn't mean I won't recognise a good game when I see it :)Ravensmash

Well I don't know your taste in video games so it would be hard to choose.

Pretty much anything, but especially a platformer or something a bit more laid back. And catfishmoon....this game is super frustrating, puzzles are pretty hard.

Here's every indie game I have on my PC so far. All links lead to a site where you can download the game. All of them are free.

Cave Story-A japanese game created solely by one guy. He programed the engine, designed the levels, wrote the story, and composed the music. And all of it is awesome. It's a side scrolling shooter/Metroidvania game. Easily my favorite indie game.

Spelunky-Platformer/roguelike. You go from level to level collecting loot. All levels are randomly generated. It's not an easy game.

Eversion-Another platformer. The main feature of the game is your ability to "evert", changing the world and allowing you to clear past certain obstructions. It starts off simple, but gets much better. To say anything else would spoil it.

Yume Nikki-Very surreal and disturbing game. Created using RPG maker, though it has little in common with RPG's besides the interface. You play as a girl who explores a dreamworld as she falls asleep. The majority of the game is spent exploring the dreamworld and collecting various "effects". To play the game you'll need an rar file reader. You can find one for free (or at least a free trial of one, more than enough time to download this game) through google or something.

Solar is being downloaded (trial) as we speak. Looks very interesting, and heard a lot of good stuff about it.

If you like music and twin stick shooters then give Beat Hazard a try, but don't if you are prone to seizures because you will surely have one.

From time to time I like to spend my time in Kodu Game Lab.

It's crazy simple, but I found its fun to mess around with and create a few simple games or see what others have made.

Probably no where near as fleshed out as LBP2 is going to be, but at 400MSP, I think it was worth it.
