Eh, if that's how he wants to live/enjoy life, so be it... As long as he's not living off welfare checks (aka my money), and he's living on his own dime, fine.

Would I ever do it myself or allow my underage kid to do it? No way in hell. I'll withold my judgement because I don't know the guy but if I have a healthy kid with a pair of legs and arms, you better believe he'll be out more than in.

If that means he completed somewhere around 400 games in the past 4 years, which is 100 games per year, which is about 2 games / week...

Then that's pretty intense. I tried to make a list of all the Video Games I first played since Mario Bros / Duck Hunt back in 1991 when I was 4. I'm around 110 games. Which means he plays as many game in a year, on ONE console, than me in 18 years, on about 10 consoles.

Yes. He's got time on his hands.

But I won't judge him. Maybe he's not "a 40 year old fat nerd in his mom's basement" like most of you think. Perhaps he's like 20 and has a great social life, but is very efficient at video games playing.

Maybe.

Don't care actually, but voted disgusted, because that's the closest thing I would feel but in general I don't care.

Investing that much time into points that count for nothing? A degree of pity perhaps?

They have a guy on the PS3 with over 5000 trophies. He has earned over 55% of the total trophies ever released.

There is a problem if you go after achievements/trophies just to get them. It is one thing to go after them in games you actually enjoy and want to play, but if you are renting games like Up, Ice Age, Hannah Montana to get trophies/achievements then you just need to get help becasue you have an addiction.

Don't care, really. On one hand, he may be great to have as an online buddy (depends on what games he's maxed out, he may be either really that good in videogames, or just really, really bored)...on the other, it's all he's really good for ;). Then again, this is someone who has a little over 20K in his gamerscore :P.

We're human beings. We have the right to judge. If this is seriously only one person, that's beyond pathetic. Gaming is an amazing hobby, but 400,000 gamerscore is past being a hobby and more of a ridiculous addiction. That's to the point where the person is buying crappy games just to get the achievements from them even though that person doesn't even like that game. They waste their(or the governments in some cases) hard earned money on crappy games just because they're addicted to having a high gamerscore. That's not a hobby, that's a mental problem. And it's disgusting.

NinjaMonky
Nothing. Trophies and Achievements will never be equal. Why? Because achievements are flawed and trophies are perfected. With trophies you can tell exactly how many trophies the person has earned, how many of each trophy they've earned, and how many games they've completed 100%(platinum trophy). With achievements you have no idea how many games someone has completed unless you look their screen name up, because all you get is a number.

Who cares? What does that have anything to do with my post? Besides, there's a LOT higher chance that he's NOT paralyzed from the waste down and that he DOES have family and friends and that he just pushes his family and friends away because all he does is play Xbox from when he wakes up to when he goes to bed. His poor parents have to deal with their son as a living blob that has no life of his own and cares more about his XBL account than he does them. Also, there ARE many people that are paralyzed and don't have any family or friends out there. How many of them do you think have a 400,000 gamerscore? Exactly.

Well, if that's what he wants to do with his life, that's what he'll do. Rack up the Gamerpoints grinding your way through games you don't enjoy all you want, dude, that's what I say to him.

I'll be busy playing games I actually want to play and playing them how much I want to play them.

If he was disabled or paralyzed his name probably wouldn't be Stallion83. Check the link for the leaderboards. http://www.mygamercard.net/completionlb.php

Actually if you think about it that would be the kind of name someone like that would probably choose. Not saying he is but you never know.

Meh..... whatever makes him/her happy. I'm not here to judge. If they prefer that over human contact & outdoor activities, be my guess. I will always stick to what my grandma always told me when I was living with her. "Too much of a good thing is bad. Everything we do in life needs to be within reason & have balance." There's more to her saying but I think everyone here gets the idea.

'judge not lest we be judged' , it's our lives, our choice, you sound like the goverment, always trying to tell us what's best for us, if this guy wants to hide away from the world and just play games that's his choice,as long as he's not hurting anyone it doesn't really matter,it's our body.our lives, we do what we want with it,what makes you so perfect you can judge anyone else?

If you have played 100+ games and only have 34k that just means you don't finish your games.. most games over half are story related or you get just by playing through career or whatever.

i don't play online, so i don't get the online GS, i will complete a games SP a couple of times if i like it, i game more for the sake of enjoyment than gamerscore and although i nearly have eevry single achievment on oblivion, i still spend an unhealthy amount of time on that game, how many GS points i have for a game is a good indicator as to how much i actually like the game.

He. Has. No. Life.

All you have to do is get a PC transfer cable, download saved game files from other players on special sites, upload it to your 360 harddrive, play the saved game and get the achievements! Too bad achievements arnt THAT special for me to go through all of that just to up some number that wont change my life in any way :?

Wow that is kind of shocking for me, I sort of envy him/her in way because of the time that this person have on his/her hand. I have a rough schedule and I can barely fit in any gaming without other stuff getting in the way. Oh well as long as this person is enjoying his/her game then that's fine unless they were doing it solely for the score than it seem like a waste of time.

The problem is that gamers dont care, we see achievements as replay value for our game and nothing else. Besides, the Achievement system is not that good. There are many glitchers and not to mention the people that play pirated games.

I could care less really,if thats how that person wants to spend his time who are we to judge

Messiahbolical-

We're human beings. We have the right to judge. If this is seriously only one person, that's beyond pathetic. Gaming is an amazing hobby, but 400,000 gamerscore is past being a hobby and more of a ridiculous addiction. That's to the point where the person is buying crappy games just to get the achievements from them even though that person doesn't even like that game. They waste their(or the governments in some cases) hard earned money on crappy games just because they're addicted to having a high gamerscore. That's not a hobby, that's a mental problem. And it's disgusting.

Sorry pal, you don't have the right to judge, you can judge people but that doesn't mean you should, thinking like yours is why society is screwed up.

Admiration. I wish I had the stamina (I just can't as long as I use to), time, and money to get a 400,000 gamerscore. My gamer score is only 5265.

Btw, where's the link for this?
