One reason why Tekken 6 could of been awesome but will be just alright!

I love the Tekken series but one thing which annoys me is that there is no Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu character in the game. What you get instead is Eddie Gordo who is a terrible character who is from Brazil. If anyone knows about Martial Arts you might say "Well kings a grappler / Wrestler" but he doesnt do triangles,Omaplatas, Gogoplatas, Kimura's,Gi Chokesbutinstead does big wrestling moves which arent affectivein real life. They could giventhis character loads of Judo throws as Judo is quite similar to BJJ. I'd even of liked to see a more of a MMA fighter in a specific character would of been intresting on how Namco would of created that character. Capcom messed up big time with that joke of a character in SF4 (I dont even remember his name, The French dude).

I'm not holding my breath for Tekken 6. The game is destined to become silly with all the gimmicky weapons like "water gun" "lasers" and "kangoroo babies punching"

WTF. I was hoping Tekken 6 to be more gritty, and dark. Instead we get a fighting game for 12 year olds (no offense)

So its not awesome for everyone because it doesn't include a fighting style that you apparently enjoy.. Well alrighty. I've never been a fan of tekken anyways, its sorta noobish.

Enjoy?! I eat and breath the style as i do Mixed Martial Arts and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. If you enjoy any Mixed Martial Arts like Dream, Strike Force, UFC you know that majority of the top fighters in MMA have BJJ coaches as its the dominant style for ground grappling. There are quite alot of characters in Tekken but none that really cover ground fighting.

Variation is the spice of life. No not one style as MMA is Mixed Martial Arts but that means that character could be over-powered, Its just that Namco seem to try and keep one character to a specific style kinda. Tekken already has Aikido, Tae Kwon Do, Karate, Muay Thai, Boxing, wrestling, Shoot Wrestling... Why not BJJ?!

Tekken is still a great game just could of been awesomewith1 additional character.

I just don't know how well Jiu-Jitsu would fit into a fighting game. I've got to imagine it would be difficult to integrate the whole ground game into the mix.

I was on about BJJ which is a differant style altogether as BJJ is ground fighting while jiu-jitsu is eye gouging, Bitting and Chinese burns. Hmmm no one would care about the inclusion or lack of BJJ?! Sadly your wrong again as BJJ is the fastest growing martial arts style in the world, Several million viewers to UFC/Strike Force/ BAMMA must care about this style as its the foundation to many of the viewers favourites fighters style. If Namco was intelligent then the inclusion of BJJ would easiely add couple thousand to there sales as this is the most important thing to Namco.

i'm brazilian, and i myself don't think that not having a brazilian jiu jitsu fighter is that important.

That's well and good but there is no such thing as BJJ. You could be a Brazilian man, who practices Juijutsu. If I am American and study Juijitsu, it does not mean I practice the Art of American Juijitsu. The word BJJ is just to promote and a way to get students in your school.Goldglove

you're offending others for nothing. if you like jiu-jitsu fighting so much you don't really need Tekken to be the game for you, any game would be good.

and believe me, Tekken 6 will be awesome. you can't change that fact just because your beloved fighting style will not be present.
