Call me nitpicky but I simply can't get over how uncomfortable the PS3 controller is compared to the 360. I don't know why, but the 360 one just feels right, and the PS3 doesn't. Anyone else feel the same way?

Both controllers are just fine for me. I did however have issues with the amount of noise the 360 emitted.
I like the ps3 controller better.. maybe Im just used to it since Ive been using it since ps1 days.

Same here.
Exactly. You can usually tell when someone has never owned a playstation before when they say things bad about the controller. I loved the ps1 controller as it was a evolution from the Snes controller, the ps1 turned into dual shock 1, which morphed into ds2 and then six-axis and now its at ds3.... if you are a old school ps gamer , the controller fits like a glove and I just feel like my fingers can move around the controller much easier than the 360 and its hard angles and shoulder buttons. People praise the 360 triggers but i can't stand them, what about non-shooting games, those triggers could be a problem, not to mention it takes way more time to get your finger from r1 to r2, or l2 to l1 unless you use 4 fingers in the back of 360 pad, but that just doesn't feel right. All in all though it is opinion and personal preference. If you've been playing since PSone and PS2 I'm pretty sure you would get use to the DS3 since it's the same controller design.

DS3 feels very plastic like, the 360 is the messiah of gaming controllers right now... ill rather play the Wiimote quiet honestly than the PS3 controller.

You again... Quit with the whole messiah thing......
if you have really small girl hands or you are a forigner or maybe was born with a flipper the ps3 controller is probably the right one for you
ok, i don't really think that... it's just that i miss the old funny sw and thought i'd answer that way just so you guys could remember how it used to be
I feel you man, I feel the exact same way, the 360 controller is just so much better for maximum precision and comfort.Call me nitpicky but I simply can't get over how uncomfortable the PS3 controller is compared to the 360. Have no problem with the DS3, though I do like the 360 controller better (is there an official name for the 360 controller btw?)
I know the biggest issue people have is with the left analog stick, but I dont get how people's thumbs manage to touch each other, my thumbs are always angled upwards.
I like both controllers. I use the PS3 one more and the 360 one feels fine too when I pick it up. I don't see why this is such a barrier :|.
I find it terrible for first-person shooters. The triggers and analog placement just don't work for them. I even tried "real triggers" and wasn't satisfied. For everything else, I have no problem with it.

On the contrary, I'm actually a sheep. And as someone new to both controllers I feel that the 360's is much more natural. And actually I played quite a bit of PS2 last gen, so it's nothing to do with being used to one or the other. Both controllers are fine; your just used to the 360's controller thats why.

same here, the analogs are too close together and my thumbs ALWAYS graze eachother during FPS games, it just sucks. mtron32
You must have massive hands.
I feel the same way. I'm sure there's some 3rd party PS3 controllers that feel like the 360's. I know that's the first thing I'm going to look for when I get the Slim..Call me nitpicky but I simply can't get over how uncomfortable the PS3 controller is compared to the 360. Absolutely.
I realize that Sony is full of pride, and thinks that the Dual Shock is God's gift to gamers are far as controller design goes. It's not, and it never was.
The 'prongs' are too short and stubby to be of any use ergonomically, the sticks are too loose, too short, and convex, the controller itself is a bit too small, and the triggers are quite possibly the worst triggers I've ever used. They have the crappy feel of the Gamecube triggers, but at least Nintendo managed to get the shape right.
I'd hate to see a handgun designed by Sony.
I'm total opposite, can't play the x360 controller for more than an hour before my hands start to cramp up. bugs the hell out of me why they would put one analog stick up higher on the controller than the other. With the DS3 everything is just so symmetrical, everything just feels right.

You should've tried the duke from the old xbox. That would've drove you insane.
