One thing I honestly can't get past about the PS3

i always felt the snes controller was the best controller ever made at that time and sony just copied that controller which was a smart thing

both controllers are good but in my opinion the ps2 controller is the best controller ever made i like the ps3 but i dont like how they made the L2, R2 into triggers i was never a fan of triggers because they are only good for shooters and racing games

when i use the ps3 i can use my index and middle fingers on all L1,R1,L2 & R2 which makes my reaction quicker when having to use those buttons but with the xbox360 i cant do that i have use my index finger for LB,RB and the triggers so my reaction time is slower on the xbox360 and i hate the bumper buttons and those that love the xbox360 controller need to remember that xbox360 copied the ps2 button placement and it lacks pressure sensitive buttons other than triggers

those that say u cant use a ps3 controller for shooters must not play much on the ps3 because the L1, R1 work great for aim and shoot the analog sticks move quicker and have a better dead zone

I love the PS3 controller, I do like the 360 one better, but it also happens to be my second favorite controller of all time...

I find the XBox controller to be more comfortable than my DS3. My last 2 fingers on both my hands cramp up from extended use of the DS3.

Call me nitpicky but I simply can't get over how uncomfortable the PS3 controller is compared to the 360. I don't know why, but the 360 one just feels right, and the PS3 doesn't. Anyone else feel the same way?

15 years and the DualShock is still the ideal controller.

Xbox copied playstation's controller, only differnece is the d-pad is near the right controller stick, and the left is where the d-pad should be, the size is bigger, shape, not 100% diff and the buttons are just different colors and letters.....

I like the 360 controller by leaps and bounds. It just feels alot more comfortable in my hands, than the PS3 controllers. They feel too small, or something..JediRiff

I CAN'T get past the d-pad on the 360 controller. Its like a wannabe analog stick that never matured. I couldn't play BlazBlue to save my life with it. PS3 is always preferred for me and any fighting game I play.

I definately prefer the 360 controller, fits perfectly in my gorilla hands and the triggers feel right. The DS3 is good if you have small hands, like fighters (opposed to the 360) and buy triggers.

I agree. Dualshock D-pad is better. Its closer to Nintendo ones and Xbox controller d-pad is closer to old school Sega ones (Master System and megadrive). Still, this gen we rarelly use the d-pad over the analog sticks??

I can see why someone wouldn't like it. I personally like it, and it looks a lot better than the 360 controller (It doesn't really matter though).

I like the 360 controller more. Keep in mind that I have a PSOne and had a PS2 and I never really liked the design that much.

DS3 feels very plastic like, the 360 is the messiah of gaming controllers right now... ill rather play the Wiimote quiet honestly than the PS3 controller.

yeah like some of us were used to that same controller

the ps3 controller is a modified snes controller with 2 extra trigger buttons and analogs. its the same controller that i've literally been playing with for over half my life.... so no. in fact i can't stand the xboxes giant wonky oddly shaped disaster they call a controller

yes the loose analog sticks take a little getting used to, but after that its fine

DS3 feels perfect to me. I'm sure if I'd ben using MS's modified design for the past dozen years or so, I'd feel differently.

The biggest thing that bugs me about the 360's controller is that DPad and the dead space on the analogs. The design itself feels quirky to me, but nothing I can't get used to after awhile of playing.

It actually seems to be a pretty even split from what i understand. It's all personal preference. The two analog sticks in the middle for DS it just don't feel right to me, especially for shooters.

same here, my hands are too big for it or something, also I feel the sticks to be more uncomfortable because of the way they are positioned. Must say that I didnt feel that way when I had the ps2 ( well they always were a little small) but once I started using the 360 controller it kinda spoiled me because it just feels much better to me..
