[QUOTE="gago-gago"]Exactly. You can usually tell when someone has never owned a playstation before when they say things bad about the controller. I loved the ps1 controller as it was a evolution from the Snes controller, the ps1 turned into dual shock 1, which morphed into ds2 and then six-axis and now its at ds3.... if you are a old school ps gamer , the controller fits like a glove and I just feel like my fingers can move around the controller much easier than the 360 and its hard angles and shoulder buttons. People praise the 360 triggers but i can't stand them, what about non-shooting games, those triggers could be a problem, not to mention it takes way more time to get your finger from r1 to r2, or l2 to l1 unless you use 4 fingers in the back of 360 pad, but that just doesn't feel right. All in all though it is opinion and personal preference. If you've been playing since PSone and PS2 I'm pretty sure you would get use to the DS3 since it's the same controller design.

i always felt the snes controller was the best controller ever made at that time and sony just copied that controller which was a smart thing
both controllers are good but in my opinion the ps2 controller is the best controller ever made i like the ps3 but i dont like how they made the L2, R2 into triggers i was never a fan of triggers because they are only good for shooters and racing games
when i use the ps3 i can use my index and middle fingers on all L1,R1,L2 & R2 which makes my reaction quicker when having to use those buttons but with the xbox360 i cant do that i have use my index finger for LB,RB and the triggers so my reaction time is slower on the xbox360 and i hate the bumper buttons and those that love the xbox360 controller need to remember that xbox360 copied the ps2 button placement and it lacks pressure sensitive buttons other than triggers
those that say u cant use a ps3 controller for shooters must not play much on the ps3 because the L1, R1 work great for aim and shoot the analog sticks move quicker and have a better dead zone
