One Year Later: What Do You Think of Destiny?

I actually picked it up with the Taken King expansion when I bought my XB1 earlier this month. First time playing it, and I find it really enjoyable. The people I was playing it with have been out of town for the holidays so I haven't picked it back up in about 2 weeks. If any of you have it on XB1 and wanna play, I think I'm level 29 and would be willing to do whatever some night.

But to answer the OP more, when it first came out and I read about it, I thought it was complete trash, from the user reviews to critics reviews. I didn't own a console at the time, but when I got my XB1 I had heard the expansion really fixed a lot. I think it's a pretty good game now. Although, I do think there are a lot of things that they can expand upon either through future expansions or a sequel. But, as is, from a new player with the DLC, I'd give it an 8.5

Destiny represents everything wrong in games industry today such as pay to play online (gold and plus) misconstructions , DLC.........etc

this shit has to end we pay $60+ for a game to get a full experience not a butchered game I understand that shit on free mobile games but not on full price consoles games.

Destiny has been my most played video game this generation (around 500ish hours) and i gotta say the game is a blast! (f**k all haters)

i have made many friends thanks to this game, i made an entire clan, an entire community of players of men and women that share the same exact interest as me and my YouTube channel have grew like crazy thanks to this game and the amazing Share feature on the PS4 heck one of my last videos was nominated to appear as the best video on Bungie's website (nominated by players but havent really won it though i will keep trying till i win the weekly Bungie video award lol)

Now if someone asks me how much score do i give Destiny? i would instantly give it a 5-6/10 and thats because the game just simply has no story mode to backup its fun gameplay but this is the best 5/10 game i have played this generation!

Seeing how Bungie has confirmed there will be no longer any new dlc coming for Destiny that gives me time to save up for the Limited Edition of Destiny 2 because yes i will buy every single Destiny game from now on and every single dlc they release because i get my moneys worth.

While PvE has become extremely boring right now PvP is where the entire fun is at for me personally thanks to events like Trials of Osiris, Iron Banner, Mayhem mode, etc ( KD=1.70 and the top 1% player in crucible)

Also... Titans for the win!
