i like to revive these because often at the end of the year people get swept up in hype and over time their opinions develop.
for me, 2012 was a really disappointing year.
- Halo 4 = graphics game
- Mass Eff 3 = horrible ending
- Dishonored = bad morality system
- Far Cry 3 = your average shooter (gameplay wise)
- Assassin Creed III = 8 hour tutorial XCOM = weak level design
borderlands 2 and journey were really good, but they probably would not have won any other year this gen
