Online Free to play games on PS4 will NOT require PS+

Ok this news is very big right there!!

Sony confirms in an interview with Joystiq.com that PS+ price will NOT change when moving to the PS4, PS+ will NOT be a requirment to watch videos or any video app on the PS4 ( examples like netflix, chrunchyroll, etc ), PS+ is not required to send messages and PS+ is NOT required to play the online free to play games BUT if a publisher wants their online free to play game to be a apart of PS+ then they are free to do so but all Sony online free to play games will NOT require PS+.

"Furthermore, free-to-play games won't require PlayStation Plus for online multiplayer"

That´s pretty cool,but like the article says,if a publisher wants their online free to play game to be a apart of PS+ then they are free to do so.

Most of the free to play games coming on PS4 are comign from Sony anwyays and i highly doubt that many publishers would make it part of PS+ unless its EA or Ubisoft lol but it should be a nice thing for those who dont want PS+ to play the Sony free to play games without Plus.

They should make their PS4 tagline:

It only does everything (better than Xbone)

PlanetSide 2 wont require PS+ because its a Sony game.. read the link they say Multiplayer free to play games do not require PS+

Sony gets the concept that free to play games should be just that: free to play not pay to play

That is not false, i own an xbox and i couldnt play that castle game which was free to play during last years holiday season.. they asked me to XboxLibe Gold, you sure you own an xbox360?

This is pretty awesome.

Makes sense that Sony started charging for online gaming because running the servers costs a lot of money.

Netflix and other services will remain untouched by PS+. This is why we love Sony instead of Microsoft who thinks people should pay twice for Netflix.

Lems can't even bash Sony for charging for multiplayer because they are doing it the right way. Things like apps, messaging and F2P games are not locked behind a paywall and multiplayer is part of a service that pays for itself and still costs $10 less than XBL.
