Bragging about a service that streams PC games having better visuals than a handheld honestly isn't doing said service any favours. I can also brag that my Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 produce better visuals than a 3DS.

Those are actual game play. Taken with the Vita's screenshot feature. Maybe it's PR shots that you're looking for?Cherry picked Golden Abyss images. Why not post actual gameplay?

Vita easily. So sad that OnLive can't even best handheld graphics.

So...
PS Vita > PS3 > PC
Lol, you're so funny.
You do realize that OnLive games run on custom built PCs, right?
they are not PC games. No mods, no customization, no graphical options, ect.
PC >>> Consoles >>> OnLive. So sad you still can't accept that fact.

I wasn't aware that there was any other prerequisite for being a PC game other than being a PC game.PC >>> Consoles >>> OnLive. So sad you still can't accept that fact.ChubbyGuy40While this is true in terms of quality, only OnLive allows me to play on my phone, my tablet, my PC, my TV and any location with wifi or 4G all with the same save and with only a single purchase of the game, which also, b/c of all their great deals usually happens to be about 25% of the cost of what I would have had to pay to buy it just once on any other platform. I can sacrifice a bit of quality for all of that, especially considering quality will increase as internet speeds increase. And at the rate of OnLive's popularity growth I'll probably be playing it on my hacked next gen system(s), which will be the ultimate irony.
Onlive is a laggy pos even on PC.. I don't even want to think about playing anything through onlive with a touch screen. Vita should be far better and the screenshots chosen don't represent the actual game.
Vita becaus I can play my games without Wifi.
OnLive I have to have a constant connection at all times.
Think of it like a DRM and you'll get over it real quick :PVita becaus I can play my games without Wifi.

Alright, and? Quality will increase...but how much? We'll never have the bandwidth for a true 1080p stream anytime in the near future. Why would you ever want to play on a mobile phone or tablet anyway?
Why the hell would you ever limit yourself like that? That's one really stupid way to waste money.

Joy. It's not a purchase either, it's a rental.

Ugh, Xbox 360 DRM. I hate that I can't play a game like Alan Wake or Fable 2 on my 360 all because I'm not on the Internet.

I can see a young Rikusaki buying a 3DO and trying so hard to convince everyone it;s the future. Then buying a Jaguar. Did you get a new 360 and redownload them to it? You may just need to do a license transfer, really easy and fast.[QUOTE="LegatoSkyheart"][QUOTE="RandoIph"] Why not? I have the Games on Demand version of both and play offline all the time.RandoIph

then again It was only Fable 2 that wouldn't let me play, and it probably was because it needed to update.

"Should" being the operative word. (just not online, but why would you be playing Fable 2 online anyway at this point?)

Well, color me impressed. I guess whatever was wrong with my phone's wifi radio has passed. I just booted up Split Second and the quality was actually pretty nice and it ran very well. The controls were a bit iffy (racers don't work well with digital sliders; need tilt controls), but it's more than playable. Lego Batman was a joy to play as well.
Onlive relies more on internet connection if anything.mitu123It's basically the ONLY thing you need, although the availabillity and spread of such good connection that don't lead to a blocky mess of lag are few and far between. Anyways, Vita for me I like being able to play my games off the grid. Even more so with you know...portable games that are rarely ever tethered to a fast wireless connection.
Mobile internet is so expensive that the last thing I want to do with it is stream huge ammounts of video through it just to play a game. Completely defeats the point of handheld device.
Also...OnLive is just terribly sucky versions of PC games. I can already play them in vastly superior way on my own PC. If I ever buy Vita it will be for the games PC doesn;t have.
OnLive is nice service for very low-income people who can't afford decent hardware, but for everybody else....lol.

That's one of the main problems with OnLive. To make it truly work you need extremly fast and stable internet and people who can afford it already can afford good PCs. So OnLive is useless to them.
vita and 3ds demolish PCs
campzor
*j/k* Actually, no. Dropping the Vita and 3DS would do nothing to the Kaypro. On the other hand, the 3DS and Vita would be demolished if the Kaypro was dropped on them. *j/k*

Now if we could just get some Vectrex games on OnLive. Cosmic Carnage would be nice too. And a flame thrower add-on for every OnLive game!Well, color me impressed. OnLive games will have mods and customization in the future.
Stever Perlman talks about game mods in this interview.
Unless they upload mods online and get them into a game somewhere since there are no game files to speak of.[QUOTE="taterfrickintot"]

We aren't sure of that yet, but even a good connection won't stop the lowest settings, this is one of my best screens: I don't think it's a connection issue. I get like 8MB over a normal line. Actual gameplay is fine. Nice and smoothe, no input lag at all.
