[QUOTE="WhenCicadasCry"]

PC gaming is all about personality. When you build your rig, and I know this may sound cheesy, but it's unique to you. It's a hobby which most of us enjoy. Onlive sounds terrible. A small black generic box, which streams worse then console graphics, small library of games, as of now, no ownership which has been stated, no ability to mod the games... There's nothing enticing about it. I can assure you, 1000000%, no PC gamer in their right mind would ditch their rig for Onlive. Console owners maybe, but they're use to receiving subpar gaming experiences. :roll:

What? I've played games like Crysis on high settings and I don't find console gaming to be "subpar" at all.:|

i dont know why had to ruin his thruthful statement with his fanboy statement at the end

I got mine today with the 12 month free membership. It's not too bad... but then again its not that great there are a limited number of games and the only 2 games I played were Dirt 2 and Borderlands both are decent games but they run at a lower resolution and are a bit laggy I guess it's cool for demo's thats about it i'm gonna cancel it in a little bit so I dont get charged in the future. I give it a 4 outta 10 but I think it will get better.

I too am in the early program and so far its been fair. I've been doing it from a netbook on a ****ty connection and a couple times I've been disconnected because of it. Its not the fault of Onlive.

Input lag was a bit of a problem in RFG and JC2 but again I chalk that up to my connection.

Biggest flaws are currently the lack of titles and the lack of purchasing options. Some games only have demos, some no demos, others only rentals, and some only have full purchase (read: access) which is probably the worst part. I couldn't see myself paying full price for SC:C or JC2 and only being able to play it during with a wired connection when I could find it cheaper on consoles and own it. Or at least own it via Steam and play that way.

Its strongest plus for me is the ability to rent PC games which is nigh impossible given the nature of the platform. But again this leads me to another negative, most of the titles I've already played on consoles or would much rather play on one. I want some PC-ass PC games released for this. At least the subscription fee is waived for the year.

exactly and they have one massive problem called steam's massive sales. some of those deals are insanity. I bet gamestop would cry if they looked at steam right now.

I think someone should start taking screenshots of Onlive games and I will try to match those screenshots with my own that are actually played on max settings on a PC.

This will truly show the horrible streaming quality.

I'd be glad to do this. I'd like to see side by side comparisons myself. What game do you want screen shots of?
