- Completely laggy
- Games look terrible
- Low FPS (2-3 fps)
- Resolution is definitely way lower than 720p
Hopefully they fix.... everything or this is gonna fail bad.

Is OnLive actually up and running now? Where are the official forums for this product? I have to read what people are saying.

I think onlive will come and go so fast we wont have time to name them...The real question is what will we call onlive fanboys.

I don't think there is a forum. Feedback is submitted through the service or to an email address.I don't believe you quite frankly. 2-3 fps is basically static images. I think you're just talking rubbish.

I'm in the beta and you must have a bad connection or using someone else's account which isnt optimized for your location if you have 2-3 fps. But I will say that the beta doesn't look as good as retail. Dont really expect it to cause its the beta. Crysis is really laggy if u turn all the settings up tho and doesn't look that good on mainstream settings which i think is normal. Its basically the same as netflix(onlive) vs Blu-ray(pc retail)

[QUOTE="DBhova23"] Its basically the same as netflix(onlive) vs Blu-ray(pc retail)HahadoukenUgh seriously?! Some people claim they "can't tell the difference" between Blu-ray and streaming or downloaded HD programming, or even the difference between Blu-ray and DVD. I can. Ohhhhhh boy I can. If that comparison is accurate, that's disgusting to me on a personal level. :P I can see the difference between DVD and BluRay. I still would rather save my money and watch on DVD. =P OnLive is 'similar' to PC retail in theory. Unfortunately, they haven't lived up to theory. Maxing out at 720 res doesn't impress a whole lot of PC gamers. Not to mention higher latency in multiplayer.
I haven't actually experienced it, but there is no way that this product would be supported by so many different companies if it was working as bad as you describe for an average user. Point 1 and 3 are the same issues, as are you points 2 and 4. 2-3 fps is a slideshow and absolutely unplayable in any shape or form. What internet connection do you have? How far are you away from the servers?alextherussiantheres supposed to be 4 servers throughout the country to support the service so no matter where you are, in the country there isnt supposed to be a lag issue unless its an isp issue. with that being said, i still dont think this service is going to be all that successfull....
crysis is the only one that has really low fps. its like looking at a slideshow. the other games don't seem to be as bad but still not that good either. Even the OnLive HUD has some lag.Zero5000X
Comeback to us with a video, we can talk then.
They're about 20 years too early with On Live. Did anybody think this was going to be a success anyway? And call me stupid but I much prefer to physically own my games rather than subscribe to a 3rd party and streaming them online.KittenWishes
Nothing stupid about that, I'd much rather own a physical copy that I can lend (or borrow from someone else), sell, or keep if it's worth it. You never own anything with DD, as the product is in the hands of someone else. And, with this being a new service, the likelihood of OnLive failing is really disturbing, as any games you lose would be lost forever, unless the game companies are willing to back up OnLive sales with physical copy replacements in the even that OnLive goes under, which I doubt they will.
This is actually worse than standard DD, as your games aren't even stored on your system, but on servers.

yeah onlive pretty much is the final step in terms of taking control away from the consumers your not paying for an actual game your paying to have it streamed to you.Yeah. I'm not even a tad bit interested in that setup. It doesn't have anything that is going to blow the socks off the 360 or PS3, so I'll pass on it.
