I signed up for the Beta tester, Im sure I will get it, but how long before Verizon or AT&T buys them out? It truly looks like a homerun.PrimusGears

Unless the company behind OnLive decides to sell, or is a public company, it is safe from the companies you named.

i'm hoping this flops

I thought for sure it would flop, but watching that video makes me really wonder, like I said, if Verizon or AT&T get behind this and buy this out, watch out. THese games are gonna be able to play on a freaking CELL phone, now thats scary.

I think this idea will eventually succeed but honestly I don't think they have it streamlined enough for the masses.. We shall see

the only problem is see is latency issues, and the controller. Also this guy is referring to connecting DSL to this, trust me, you arent going to get 5mb unless u wanna use your whole connections. Cablevision, Fios, and other high broadband providers no problem, DSL not gong to work, so from that perspective I felt the guy was a little naive in that regard.

Considering this is PC based it would basically make consoles useless. There's an optional "console" plug-in but it's the OnLive console. And why play it there when you can play it on a PC...seriously.

I still don't like how it limits the settings you can put your visuals at when it comes to PC games. We'll see though. I don't think it will ever become a truly realized reality. PC hardware is so cheap (and almost has always been) that its kinda pointless IMO. Everyone needs a PC for something. Been like this for quite awhile.

It's experiment and might be pure gold looking how cloud computering is doing,

Perspective of specing looks atractive for gamers and beta testing with look how people play is attractive for devlopers.
