What do you think of this montage? I think it's pretty well made...very hype!
Should have put Ghost of Tsushima and MLB 18 and Death Stranding too.

Xbox is going to respond with one, but the clip is so short you gotta pause it to see the game.
Well to be fair, that video could have been shorter if they didnt repeat the same 4(?) games over. But you're right XBOX one will still be much shorter.
Needs more third person games which focuses on story and adopting a child. Also more pressing a button to avoid objects hitting you so it will feel like a dramatic movie moment. More of this please Sony, might be a good idea to take some gameplay out and make way for more movie cut scenes aswell. My hands were hurting playing HZD to much gameplay involved.

There's 15 games in the sizzle reel, but I guess it's easy to lose count. And that's only the full first-party exclusives. WHEW!

15 games huh? Now I see what they mean by all these games looking the same. :D
Eh....what else is new?
Good advertising though for the uninformed. Sony does a remarkable job at that.
Long winded to say the least.
A mix of old and new, just seems boring compared to what Nintendo could potentially put out.
But hey.... Action TPS games and 1 racer!
Could use more of their older IPs like Killzone, Resistance, SOCOM, Motorstorm, etc. more variety in genre even though all these games look great.
I am confused why they're advertising games like Uncharted and GT that have already comeout though. Also, why bother mentioning SotC when it's a remaster.
Question: What is everybody's favorite movie snack to eat while watching all of these movies on their PS4?
so much salt in this thread.
You can't watch all of Sony's movie-games without some popcorn to snack on and you can't have popcorn without salt.

Needs more Nintendo manchild magnets? PS4 is for people that stopped living at home I think.
No love for Yakuza 6?
My most anticipated game for this year! Along with Yakuza Kiwami 2!
These are first-party games only. If you add third-party exclusives it would be a massacre.
Sony is just murdering the competition, if you wanna call Microsoft competition that is.. At this point I wouldn't be shocked if little dick Phil comes on stage at E3 this year and announces they are bowing out of the race.
Moral has to be at an all-time low at Microsoft. They spend years working on these games for them to end up flopping and get slammed by gamers.
Sony and Nintendo get it. They know what gamers want and that's why Xbox is on track for a distant 3rd place finish.
This video shows why Sony hasn't been good since the PS2. Their focus is all on cutscenes nowadays.
You say it as if it was a bad thing.
Given that I'm a gamer that wants to actually play games where the focus is on the gameplay instead of having my games constantly being interrupted for cutscenes... yes, Sony's obsession with focusing on cutscenes these last two generations is a bad thing and is the reason that I will soon be selling my PS4.

Cutscenses in games have been there since the dawn of PlayStation, I just adapt to it. I still have control of the game. Depending on the game, how is Sony no different from MS when we also see some of there games in cutscense? All Game Developers do it, not just Sony.
But hey, if you want to sell your PS4 and miss out upcoming good exclusive games, then that's all on you. I ain't stopping ya.

Cutscenes in games have been around for even longer than the dawn of Playstation. Games having a cutscene once in a while isn't the problem. The problem is when the cutscenes and the scripted events are the focus of the game and the gameplay feels like it is just serving to get from one cutscene to the next which is how most of Sony's games (and I use that term loosely) feel nowadays.
And yes, they had some movie-games such as Metal Gear Solid back on the PS1 and I've always hated those types of games, but they were not dominating the industry back then like they are now. Twenty years ago, if Sony would have released a video showing their big upcoming games of 1998, it would have had much more variety and would not have just been a bunch of cutscenes like in this 2018 video from them.
And do you really believe that you have control in these movie-games? When you play Uncharted, do you feel like you are really in control of the platforming? Or is that scripted fall going to happen no matter what you do?
And I've looked at the list of upcoming PS4 exclusives and I don't see a single game that I want to play and the one game that I was keeping my PS4 for (Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy) is soon going to be a multiplat so I will be able to buy it for either my Xbox or Switch. Fans of movie-games are going to love Sony's upcoming exclusives, but not me.

You don't have a PS4. Why would you sell a console that actually has exclusive content coming in, and for what? Because Sony games have stories? This is a really dumb troll.

LOL. I just love how anytime that I make any criticism about the PS4, some Playstation fanboy has to try to claim that I don't actually own it. This never happens when I criticize Xbox or Nintendo. That Sony Defense Force...
Well BenjaminBanklin, I just went take a picture of my PS4 just for you and wrote you a note in the picture which I will post below. Now, what were you saying again about me not owning a PS4? As for why I would sell it, I thought I already made that clear, it's because I don't give a damn about all of it's exclusive movie-games that are coming in and I don't want to continue to support them if they are no longer going to deliver the types of gameplay focused games that I want and instead will continue with their movie-game obsession. As soon as Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy gets released for the Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, I will have no use for my PS4 anymore so there is no point in keeping it. When I want to watch a movie, I'll go watch a real movie in the theater and when I want to play a game, I'll play a real game on my other consoles; so I don't need Sony's movie-games.
Well the good news is that Lemminngs don’t care about games , but only raw Power of the almighty paper weight known as the Xb1x.

Are you one of these guys that bought a PS4 just to say now much he hates it? You've got it collecting dust on a shelf next to a PS2 and an old NES. Like it's on the shelf of a used game shop or something. You've chosen not to utilize the PS4's library, and for what? Just to play Crash Bandicoot Trilogy? It's like buying a $200 plate to eat one Snickers bar off of it. Did you buy any other game for it?
Anyway, your loss. Hopefully that PS4 won't be wasted on someone who's not completely nuts.
? Well done OP, the salt in this thread from fanboy tears is real.
Sony is just bullying the competition right now. Phil Spencer must be crying himself to sleep lol. Utterly savage that they are releasing this after Sea of Flops' launch.
"? B...bu...bu...bu....but teh movie gamez!!"
^ ^ When you're getting utterly destroyed and your excuse is this it's time to give up hope.

And that NES and PS2 still get used more than the PS4 as well.
Yes, I bought other games for it. I initially bought it for Bloodborne, but Bloodborne was kind of a disappointment for me (I just didn't enjoy it as much as Dark Souls). Then Rocket League came along which I loved but then that got ported to the Xbox One which is the platform that I prefer to play it on due to it's superior online service. Then just when I was first considering selling my PS4, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy was announced so I had to keep it for that but now that's getting ported as well. I also bought the Shadow of the Colossus remake which I also love, but I think that I enjoy the PS2 original version a little bit more, so no big loss having to lose that remake when I sell my PS4. Along the way, I've tried some of Sony's flagship exclusive movie-games like Uncharted 4 and The Last of Us and I hated them (the best part of Uncharted 4 was when they shoved Crash Bandicoot in there as a taste of what fun used to be back when they used to actually make games). And now when I look at the list of Sony's upcoming games, I see that they are going all in with movie-games, and I don't want to continue to support them if this is the direction that they are going in.
I don't want to hate the PS4, but I can't help it that the PS4 has nothing appealing to me besides multiplats that I would prefer to play on a different console and remakes of games that they made before they became obsessed with movie-games. And I can't help it that Sony has decided to go further in this movie-game direction while abandoning people like me that are strongly against gaming going further in that direction.
@Pedro: if multiplats were “where it’s at” then the Xbox would be dominating. Unfortunately we’re seeing the opposite and in fact I’m reading about more and more lems jump ship due to the dismal game offerings on the bone. It’s ok to accept that you’ve backed a losing horse pedro. I think it’s clear to see that MS just doesn’t have what it takes to compete with true AAA blockbusters (forza aside)
@pdogg93: The generation started in 2013, and the Xbox One X only launched 4 months ago. If the PS4 was the best place to play multiplats until holiday 2017, why would the Xbox be dominating?

You're placing way too much importance on multiplats. Only way Xbox would be dominating is if Sony announced $599 for PS4 and announced it would only be sold in Japan.
Even last gen when PS3 was $599, had the worse multiplats, and launched a year later it still caught up with 360.
MS just can't compete with Sony when they are on a leveled playing field. The reason for that is Sony's first party/2nd party/Japanese exclusives VS MS' mediocre first party offerings.
MS is gonna have to pray for a miracle next gen like Sony completely f***ing up because that's the only way they are going to be able to compete with Sony, multiplats won't do it and their first party is a joke at this point.
