Well I can see it getting a 9.5 also but I think that the familarity of the controls might still be an issues. It would be nice that they could have camera controls in the game with the other analog stick. Something as simple as that could improve the game greatly. I'm sure it might get docked for being too linear also.

Ok im sorry but this is complete and utter BS.. this game deserves nothing less than a 10, normally i wouldnt be upset with a 9/10 rating but the reason they docked it a point is just plain stupid. After playing the demo and hearing all the impressions from different magazines, there is no reason why this game should get less thna a 10.

9s are only for "great games" GOW3 is a superb once in a lifetime masterpiece. If GOW3 gets less than a 10 on gamespot it will be a score flop in my mind. And im being serious as i can be also, im sick of these so called "reviewers" systems, its like they will be condemned for giving out a 10 now and then.. GOW3 better score a 10 here from all the impressions im hearing on it.

You have got to be kidding me, it scored a 9.0, man. That means it is a fantastic game. Seriously, what more can you realistically ask for? Maybe for Kratos to pull you into the screen and take you to a hot tub filled with naked beauties from Sparta before deciding to rip your head off because he wants them all for himself?

I swear, gamers today have such a sense of entitlement. Nothing is ever good enough anymore, and even a 9.0 is scrutinized and considered to be a let down. Mainly due to unrealistic expectations that are placed on the big money hype train driven exclusives that in the end just end up being really great games...like GOW III will be. Yet, this is System Wars and in the end, I guess there will be only chaos. (lame, but I just had to say it.)

So did anybody get a chance to read it?! It appears the other two alternative weapons are chain blades? And their linked with magic? Graphics look phenomenal, I must say. I can't wait for the new trailer so we can finally see it in motion.

Seems like they thought it was inches closer to a 9 rather than inches closer to a 10 or they would have given it a 10. They should have just said it was inches away from a 9 instead inches away from a 10.

Hurr Durr Flop confirmed :P GOW3 is a lock on AAA, I don't think any review will be below a 9, the game is gonna be epic and this review pretty much confirms it. Can't wait for the trailer today!

It's just someones opinion. I think this game should get a 10, GOW2 should have got a 10, it was a great game. Not many Play Station exclusives get a 10 though, I think the reviewers are scared to let everyone know PS3 is the only shining diamond in the gaming industry. ;)

I think it's ridiculous that people are complaining about a freaking nine out of ten. IT'S A GREAT SCORE. If anything, it makes me appreciate OPM UK more because it means their reviews are more credible, rather than if they just handed out 10s for all PS exclusives.

Besides, apparently they weren't too fond of the previous GOWs, as according to somebody's post here, GOWI got a 6 from them and GOWII an 8. Personally, I think those reviews are jokes, but think about what that must mean if they gave GOWIII a 9.

Kenny, it's highly unlikely GS will give GOWIII a 10, but definitely expect 9.0-9.5; both of which are great scores. You're very foolish if you believe that 9.0 games are a "dime a dozen."

They marked it down for being more of the same? GS doesn't like that. Didn't Prime 3, sunshine and TP all get AA'd because of that.
