PC>>360>>>>>>>>>>>>PS3 in terms of orange box, the ps3 version is completely and utterly inferior.

WilliamRLBaker

... PC>>>>>>>>> 360>>>PS3.. Seriously if you havea choice to get it for any platform, its for the PC.. The PC gets updates almost every two weeks.

It's my favorite PS3 game this gen. The framerate issues come and go, but aren't game hindering.

[QUOTE="SAGE_OF_FIRE"] Well I wont go into detail with those games but we are talking about The Orange Box.... a certain package that contains Team Fortress 2. SAGE_OF_FIRE

i definitely see what you mean there, TF2 isn't supported at all compared to the pc. it also just doesn't work very well on consoles but you said valve games in general that's why i mentioned l4d too.

L4D on the PC has better controls, free content, improved visuals, smoother performance, and great community content (I Hate Mountains and Cold Stream are good examples).

still a blast on the 360, the community is great too. i also prefer a controller to keyboard and mouse, but that's just me.

Well I do have 4 gigs of ram and temporary graphics card (ATI 4870 HD) Intel Core 2 Duo at 3.1 GHz.

:? Get the PC version.

Yeah, I run it (The Orang Box) on a piss poor HD3450 so it's all good...

The frame rate is solid 95% of the time, but at certain parts it would completely go to crap for me. Not a deal breaker though, I would get it.

TF2 on PC makes the console versions look like a demo at this point. Far more content, maps, new weapons, new gamemodes, hats (most important thing of course). There's quite a few mods for the source engine too. Your PC will run the orange box fine so really there is no reason to settle for the PS3 version.

Well not a good idea to buy the ps3 version because it is inferior to the 360 version. But still not bad on ps3 though.

I have it on ps3. Has longer than normal load times, but otherwise it runs and looks fine. Still not an attractive game considering its age, but it's fine.

I heard Episode 2 is the part with framerate problems, but I never played it. Portal is worth the 15 bucks, though. There's a quicksave function on the ps3 version too, which is nice.

Why the heck are you playing Valve games on consoles?

aside from mods, half life 2, portal and left 4 dead work just fine on the 360. what's the problem with playing valve games on consoles?

I played L4D2 on 360, it was pretty atrocious compared to the PC version. Crappy framerate(especially in split screen), poor controls, crappy graphics, etc.

I prefer controllers too. Good thing the PC version auto maps the 360 controller. When I play split screen on the PC from my couch we both use PS3 controllers.

The 360 version really is bad after playing the PC version. Again, if it's your only choice then have fun! But if it's only about the controller your doing yourself a disservice. If you ever get the chance to bang it out with I Hate Mountains, the Police dept. from RE2, or even Silent Hill then you'll know why people prefer the PC version. By faaaaar.

The way smoother frames, better textures, higher resolution, more control options, bigger hoards etc are just the icing.

Oh yeah, forgot about that. Yeah it's 10 bucks on 360 and it's free on PC.

Team Fortress 2 sucks on the consoles, still totally worth it for the other Half Life 2 and Portal tho!

Get the PC version, you'd be able to run it at really high settings plus you get all the free content that is exclusive to the PC.
