For all the flak EA's got the past years for their atrocious customer-relations and DLC/money-making policies, I've always liked them for one thing: PC fidelity. At least as far as the games I play go, I've never felt like I was playing a console port, be it Battlefield, Mirror's Edge or Mass Effect*. I didn't even have an Origin account until the last humble bundle, and I can say I'm not disappointed to have made one - the interface is still worse than Steam's, and it doesn't have that amazing catalogue, but now I'll give it a chance and keep it running alongside Steam. This is just the cherry on top. :)

*the worse I did feel was that games' interfaces were dumbed down for the sake of consoles, but nothing game compromising - certainly nothing irksome like Rockstar's PC games.

well those game were created by great developers. most of them still play decent despite EA habit to rush and pressure the dev to make annual release.

If only that draconian Steam allowed refunds instead of going through two thousand loops only to get a resounding "No" in the end. Scumbags at Valve changed our libraries into renting licences to accessing games in order to circumvent European law of refundability of digital content. Your turn, scumbag Valve.

Awesome. That's a really smart decision. It's something it's got on Steam now

It's only after a certain period of time though isn't it? Like a week?

Don't think I'd have a game finished by then but I guess it's better than nothing

Better than issuing steam support tickets to some pakistani with poor english that copy pastes the steam subscriber agreement as a reply...14 days after you asked them a question.

Do you know any EA games that can be beaten in less than a day?

Dead Space, Crysis, Battlefield... Pretty much any EA game not by Bioware, actually.

Hopefully within a few years time we'll be able to trade in any game we purchase on any digital platform at any time.

Dead Space doesn't hold my attention enough for me to do a single sitting vigil but yes that game is beatable within a day and is not worth keeping. I never consider BF as a singleplayer campaign game though.
