I'm not talking about source here. I'm talking about when counterstrike was so competetive, it was competing with starcraft's legacy of being Korea's national sport. Except this was a European sport. I'm talking about the walling, actual recoil, perfect balanced counterstrike, where it was 5v5 12 round matches. Where you would stack on each other to fool the enemy, and throw a flashbang without having your ears bleed. The Original Counterstrike is the greatest multi-player FPS ever made. And still is. For the aiming, the skill, the maps, the hitboxes, and the animation. Unmatched today.
I only played source, i never got to play the original, but if it was up to a system wars vote, i think that Deus EX would win, never played that either lol. Everyone always goes on about that being the best game ever
Damn right! Played it for 3 years only fps that can compete is NS. I play these new games like CoD, KZ, Halo etc and they all feel sluggish, aiming is horrible, low on strategy, the satisfaction you get from blowing off some poor suckers head isn't there, the weapons have no ummmmmmph to them, they just generally aren't fun coming from a background of playing CS.
:lol: Not. Even. Close While I'll admit that I was really addicted to CS back in the day, it was still a shooter that still had some heavy flaws, and now it's as dated as ever. Not only that, but now the game is literally FILLED with hackers to the point where CoD4 is almost like a haven for legit players. Hell just recently, a couple CPL clans were banned from Cevo for cheating. A few years ago it wasn't like this at all, but now CS is nothing but hacker's paradise.
