[QUOTE="sexy_chimp"][QUOTE="WeAreToast"]That wouldn't be fair for me to say, as I haven't played Crysis. However, between Halo 3 and Galaxy, I have to go for the latter. The designers made some fantastic levels, and sorry for potential spoilers, but the Toy Time Galaxy (which housed an incredibly frustrating Purple Coin task) was likely my favorite.

Heavy Metal Mecha Bowser was the coolest thing ever.
Any Toy Time level except for Luigi's Purple Coins = Awesome.
Luigi's Purple Coins = @#$%!!!!!
I hate that level. I'm still stuck at 119 stars.
IMO, Halo 3 does not deserve a 9.5. I think it actually deserves an 8. It's fun, but it's been done. A lot. It's fun, but it's not 9 + material.
Crysis is great. It's awesome, but merely not deserving of a 9.5 because of it's high tech requirements. Most computers won't be able to run it as well as it should; I'd give it an 8.5 using GS's score system...
Super Mario Galaxy is deserving of a 9.5, only because it is unique and fun. Although I wouldn't give it a 9.5, it is certainly the best out of the three games. I'd personally give it a 9.
I haven't had a chance to play Crysis and have only played a few games of Halo 3's multiplayer with one other person. I can't exactly make an informed decision considering my situation.
But speaking from experience, Super Mario Galaxy does indeed deserve its score of 9.5. I don't know if it's the most-deserving, but it's one of the most fun games I've played in a good while.
SMG and Crysis redefined their genres. Luckily many people will experience SMG. Sadly, many people won't truly experience Crysis for awhile because of system requirements. Those that have will probably agree with the 9.5 but some feel it is worthybecause there is alot better MP out there.
Because it has been out longer I've put many more hours into Halo 3. I haven't wrote a review for because I still need to finish the SP, but as it stands right now it will probably come out to an 8.0-8.5 for me.
There was a huge addition you forgot about: Equipment.Tough. Halo 3 I believe should be a 9.0. It's a fantastic game, but does nothing new with the series, except Forge mode

[QUOTE="ImError88"]There was a huge addition you forgot about: Equipment. That doesn't really bring anything new; there's no real new concept, which is what it seems like people are looking for these days. Wow, Nintendo was right all along. 0_oTough. 9.5: Superb
"We absolutely recommend any game in this range, especially to fans of that particular genre. However, games that score in the 9 range are also typically well suited to new players. Games that earn 9s are naturally uncommon, and earn GameSpot's Editors' Choice Award for their outstanding quality."
Out of:
Which is the most deserving of the 9.5 score, in your opinion?
The score is extremely difficult to get on Gamespot and many feel that certain games deserved that score but just missed out. Out of the 3 recent 9.5/10s, which do you feel is the most deserving of the excellent score? ie. Which is the best of the best?
What do you guys think?

SMG, no Contest!!!!
SMG.
its the best thing nintendo has made in 10 years, absolutely flawless and pure gameplay, the way games should be.
i haven't finished it yet, but by the end it could wind up being my favourite game of all time.
halo should have got a 9.0 tops. i haven't played enough of crysis to judge properly, but i can't see why it wouldn't deserve its score.
crysis is most deserving in my opinion. I havent played SMG yet but ill buy a wii just for it. SMG looks like just another awesome mario platforming game. But honestly it does nothing new it just gives a lot of great mario gameplay. Crysis does many new things. Crysis pretty much changes the standards of first person shooters. I going to Buy smg and love it, it is worth every point of that 9.5. Just not as much as cyrsis.
Why since SMG came out everyone started to hate Sunshine? Despite Gamespots review, most sites voted it AAA. I found it very fun and deserving of much more than a 8.0. I guess we've been spoiled by SMG so much that all platformers both past and present ['cept Mario 64] are now seen as total crap...SMG.
Sunshine all but killed my love for the franchise, and Galaxy brought my love back in full force. Wonderful game no matter how good the others are.

Boy I have to Admit.
Seeing SMG I have to say that game puts wii in a whole new light for me (Just about sold on buying one)
ANd I've probably never said anything good about the Wii
I can vouch for you.
Crysis definitely, I will give Mario Galaxy it's props, but I haven't played it. But Halo 3 is just over-rated big time.
