Ok then Mass Effect is a Shooter not an RPG by that logic. Uncharted has mainly shooting elements so its pro-dominantly an action game.

Mass Effect is a shooter, but it's also an RPG. I edited that post up there, it can be a combo and still be considered one of the genres.

No it won't Disgaea 3 is only for the hardcore (like me, I already bought the strategy guide :D) Disgaea is for only a select market, not too many people really like disgaea (in everyday life), besides it canot take on Tales, and Infinite undiscovery.

I'm not talking about sales, I'm talking about quality RPGs. People keep claiming the 360 is RPG king when it doesn't really ahve that much to brag about.

I don't mean sales, Disgaea as a game is not for everyone. Not too many people have the patience it requires to truly enjoy the game. You have to be about level 500+ to truly enjoy it.

And yes, I own both consoles, and the 360 is better than the PS3 in RPG's hands down. It is PS2 that owns RPG's.

Phantom Brave

Soul Nomad

Makai Kingdom

Disgaea 1&2

Grimgrimoire

La pucelle tactics, etc, and I still play them as much as my 360, but 360 is still better than PS3 in RPG's/ besides what's quality to you is trash for another, and I can tell you those games I mentioned are not for everyone.

Yeah, all I play on my PS3 are PS2 games.

Persona 3 Fes, Odin Sphere, Soul Nomad, Atelier Iris series, Disgaea, Phantom Brave, Tales of the Abyss, la pucelle tactics, suikoden 3, growlanser generations, etc.

I have so many PS2 gems, I spend up to 30 mins everytime I get back from work thinking of which game to play.

another true statement... since most people i know just bought their FIRST GAMING CONSOLE (ps3 v xbox 360) as a result, more people wanting more games that are more modern, real-time and something that makes them piss in their seats...

This is true but that's only because people hyped them so much LO, ES (not really deserving of an 8.5 but was fun), and ME are good games. The score does say that. If you like at it more realistically just because you hyped some game as a 9 and itgets a 7.5 areyou really not going to get that game because it scored lower? and are you not going to enjoy that game because it got a 7.5? That's the real question. Besides PS3 has like no RPGs right now and a few good RPGs are better than none. Now when Disgaea 3 comes out it will be a different story. (I love you NIS :D) only time will tell who will be king.

Most of the PS2's good RPGs came from developers Atlus published; those developers still develop for the PlayStation 2.
