If the main game can consistantly screw with me like this demo did...then god damn. Do Want.
It's a shame I couldn't "Finish" the demo due to my lack of a mic.
PS4 comes with a mic, did you sell or lose your mic?
It's floating around somewhere but not enough for me to find it I'll just youtube the teaser ending.

Yeah you're better off just youtubing the actual clip instead of doing the ending because it can be tedious

Yes, I agree it is tedious and that's the best time saving option. However, it's probably just me, but I like knowing I beat something if I can...but sometimes you gotta just call it quits and this demo can drive you batty trying to trigger the end sequence.

Oh, I see.
You said lack of mic and I thought perhaps you forgot the PS4 had a mic and left the mic in the box. My friend did that is why I asked, lol.
It's growing on me, but it's not Silent Hill still. I definitely don't want it to be all first person since I find that perspective impossible to get invested in, but I wouldn't mind some first person segments so long as the game is predominately third person. Also, the game needs combat. Not a focus on combat, but it needs combat.
@FreedomFreeLife:"Im totally confused who voted 3rd person. This means another Resident Evil game, shooting and killing."
I don't know if you've noticed, but there's plenty of shooting and killing in first person games as well. Perspective has no bearing on how much of a focus combat will have in a game. Classic Silent Hill games were third person but definitely not focused on combat. The more recent Siren: Blood Curse is third person but isn't focused on combat either. Siren: Blood Curse is a perfect example for Silent Hills to follow. You can fight enemies, but it's something you definitely want to try to avoid.
Unless there's a narrative reason for why you can't fight enemies (like there was when playing as the little girl in Siren) then there's no reason why you shouldn't have the option to defend yourself if shit gets ugly.
"I WANT HORROR GAME, NOT ACTION GAMES(LIKE FEW LAST SILENT HILL GAMES)."
The last few Silent Hill games weren't action games, although they did put too much focus on absolutely terrible combat.
"Reboot and new ideas are great."
Not necessarily.
Yeah, I dunno. The demo was great except for the extreme obtuseness of the later puzzles. No instructions whatsoever doesn't help because you don't even know if the various buttons/functions even do anything much less that you should be using them. Also, Silent Hill is not a first person experience for me. That's not to say that it can't be good as an FPS or that no good horror games are FPS, but there are just certain games that should always stick to a particular genre of play.
Regardless, as has already been mentioned this is such an early demo that there's no clear picture of what the final game will look like or even if it will resemble this demo at all. Still, the demo itself was very effective. It had great atmosphere, awesome graphics and sound design and is just generally creepy.

@JangoWuzHere: Yeah but IF these days is normally a BIG if. After what Kojima has done to Metal Gear Solid i.e. turned it into an incoherent joke of a game where cardboard boxes are the only thing relevant at Gamescom and with clones of Snake and him looking like Frankenstein it doesn't fill me with optimism.
It got me scared pretty good, it's revitalizing to play something that kept me on the edge of my seat at multiple moment.
I feel like I fail as a gamer because I literally can not make it to the end of P.T.
It was fun/ scary/ awesome at first.... now I am getting a bit annoyed.
Also I am not plugging in a mic... I did hear a rumor that the game needs to hear you scream... that is just stupid to me *shrugs*
