i sure am jelous about a game that was not givin next gen graphics, no bump mapping, same graphcis as xbox but at a higher resolution. i just see it as another "halo" rehash

True, but that is beyond the point, Cows can't win their own arguments using the PS3 alone, even if they don't have a PC that can run those games they will bring it up. There are some quality games that most likely will never come to PC as well, not to mention the time waiting for them to come.

u lemmings have no idea how the markets going to react. 400 dollars is the price of the old premium xbox. how many people bought that .. alot!. halo 3 is going to big news but so is the 400 dollar ps3. expect stiff competition.hashyboy

Sony will have to do tons of marketing for it to outshine Halo 3.

I have a ps3 and a 360, and I like them both, but I certainly play my 360 a whole lot more. The thing that is kind of weird is that firstsony had a 20gig and a 60 gig, but that wasn't working for sony so they trash the 20 gig to go to just the 60gig. Then they decide that the 60 gig is no good and end that one to upgrade to an 80 gig. Now they are thinking about going back to two different ps3's even though it didn't work the first time around. So I wonder how long the 40 and the 80 gig will last? I am just not follwing sonys logic on this one, just pick one and stick with it already. tylerdurden2621

Exactly. It didn't work before so why would it work again? Sony is blowing it this generation. They should just lower the 80GB system to $500 and forget about any other SKU.

I have nothing against a price drop, tho when I finally decide to pickup a PS3 ill chose the one with the least gigs of ram. Maybe if Sony managed to make the DMC4 and RE5 games a ps3 exclusive the system might get a boost in sales.

Give me a break, a 400 dollar ps3 will have no impact on halo 3. Most of the people that will buy halo already know they are buying it and want it. Very few people are going to go to the store to buy halo, or halo and a 360 and then just pass on it because they see a ps3. I have both, but I mainly use my ps3 for a hd movie player. There is really next to nothing that seperates the ps3 apart from the 360 as far as games go. You can pretty much play any decent game thats on the ps3 on the xbox, plus 360 has a bunch of other cool games plus halo 3. PS3 isn't going to have much luck selling consoles unitl they put out mgs and ff, and killzone, and other big hitters
