I've never played 1 or 2, do you think it's worth going back and checking em out? Would the gameplay still hold up well today?death919

The first one is similar to FF XII in terms of gameplay. The second one is a Resident Evil with RPG elements. In my opinion, I liked the second one more than the first, because I was a huge fan of RE and DC at the time, and I loved customizing weapons, getting upgrades and exp and using magics :D

Back in the day, along FF and DC, they were my favorite games. PE 1 let you customize your weapons and even name them, as well as name your armor. PE 2 had a wider selection of weapons, used FF VIII graphics engine which made it look fantastic, had some awesome cutscenes as this one:

(my original post vanished when I clicked submit ;_; ) So in summary, for the love of god, yes, but play it on an SDtv.

1 uses a very deep atb type system where you run around and dodge enemy attacks similar to FF7: CC. You can customize weapons by adding effects like ice, cast spell using PE, and its just a very well done system with old school puzzle pattern type boss battles. Great game.

2 went for the RE2 cinematic approach. Cinematic fixed camera angles with a nice sense of atmosphere. Big boss battles, still active time, but with less space to run around compared to the overhead map view of PE1. Just cinematic as heck. RE4 took alot of cues from this game. I love both very much, and can't wait for 3.

PE2 was the best looking game I played on the playstation.

It really plays like neither, in the end.

Parasite Eve is all about feeling like a movie.

no it isn't.and not only is the psp getting PE3,I've just read on the psp forum that it's also getting Final Fantasy agito 13

Parasite Eve is not something you play on a portable system, it is not a pick up and put down game.

It would make more sense to release it on PS2/PS3.

Note that this is probably just the cell phone game and it doesn't play like the other games.

You could turn out very disappointed.

Wait, what merger? Square and Capcom are 2 totally seperate companies. So you're saying Square took stuff from RE1.5 and Capcom changed RE2 because of that? Cause Aya Brea existed LONG before Elza Walker did.

Parasite Eve got more advertising than MGS4 did. So did FFVII. What the heck is up with Sony not advertising its exclusives anymore?!

Parasite eve II was my favorite game when i was young, i was never able to finish it and i lose the cds... its been almost 10 years now when my friend found the game give it to me and could play it all over again, now, this great news, hahahah!

For those who never played it, i recommend, this is the most underated game i have ever seen...

this is the kind of thing that make you think if there is something else... like newton said...
