For anyone who still argues that multiplats are better on 360 than on PC because they score better(disregarding PC higher standards and system requirements affecting the review), here's a big clue:- http://ve3d.ign.com/articles/news/33906/Review-PC-BioShock-Outshines-360-Version
the PC is Microsofts forgotten child. You are lemming even if you dont wanna believe it.

Killfox
Thats because they reviewed it for what it was really worth. Mediocre. That also proves consoles FPs dont stand a chance. Are we also not forgetting standards.
Standards, Smandards I was just nit-picking. :P

I didn't know the x360 version of oblivion or prey came out first and its cows that had to wait for r6v
The GS review system begs to differ :lol:Standards? Bull and Shi-at. Another lame argument on these godforsaken grounds. And another reason numerical scores are an archaic and stupid form of review. But that's an argument for another day.
Standards are different? Then by all means let's not compare the same game on two different platforms because the standards are "different". How different? God knows. As for the rest of us? It's like trying to look at your butt without a mirror. .
Standards can take it in the rear for all I care. My standards are simple. Whatever is more fun and more easily accessed is better. Regardless of what its own

Hence Halo 2 getting 9.4, HL2 getting 9.2 - HL2 gets FPS GOTY 04' :P

I think one of the main reasons console versions sometimes score higher is because its not well optimised for the pc, if you know it can run the way you want it on pc then thats the way to go.
Now always is just not true, look at PC madden then look at the console madden. There is simply no comparison.WOWZORSUmm, the pc version looks just as good as the console versions,. The fact that you can run it at higher resolutions and have better AA and AF makes it look even better.

In controls, its no contest, a PC no matter how cheap is going to control better.
Visuals is where it is different though.
Your higher end PCs are definently going to have the better looking games. But if you build a PC for the same price as a console, chances are it will look the same if not worse then the console version.
But I would definently not say "always" beats..

WTF $1200 I would never have a ps3 if it was 1200 us :oYea i think NZ is one of the most expensive places to buy a ps3.michael098Wow I thought canada was bad thank god I am in the usa orI would have to work 2 jobs just to play games.
i cannot wait untill pc bioshock demo comes out damn it,i want to see how the 7800 gtx 256 mb i have in this pc handle unreal engine 3.0 still havent tried.ps3rulezzggdffYou should run it really well. I have a geforce 7900 GS 256 mb. I looked online and it turns out the 7800 GTX and 7900 GS are equal in power, frame for frame they are the same, though the 7900 GS occasionaly gets one frame slower, so if you run it well then I will too, lol :D
It's just a matter of preference. It's not like bioshock for the 360 plays like a piece of crap, it still got a 97% at ign and 100% from almost everywhere else.

In terms of numbers it may look bad, but I think the PS3 is affordable in NZ if you got a decent job.

You're welcome sergeant sarcastic. Would you like to add anything else? Ya know, people want to complain about how it's more expensive, well there is a reason why, it can do more and some people just choose to ignore that to make their point seem more valid. If people want to debate about it you can't ignore that aspect about the PC, people like to bring up the point that the PS3 doubles as a movie player as to make it's price tag seem much more reasonable.Standards? Can you explain Oblivion's score then? Seeing as the PC version scored a 9.3, and the 360 version scored a 9.6, yet the PC version is better in every way, bar none, and also has far, far more value?

In NYC the average is around $14 if you have skills about $20+, I make $26 working for verizon plus overtime so I am able to game with only one job. You don't need 3 gigs of RAM and a 88 series card to run most other applications. You can buy one of those nicely named "Multimedia PCs" for a lot less than you pay for a gaming console.
I'm not sure what the cows argue but they're paying extra for what theoretically are better games with the blu ray disc; the 360 and PC are still on DVD9s (or digital distribution). I think that's a fairly reasonable point on their part, but you may argue the reality of it.

I guess it all evens out somewhat.
Yeah the PS3 is rather expensive here, which is why the 360 is doing considerably well, and the Wii is sold out every bloody week (oh, and the target demographic is broader too). But people can afford it, maybe not two, but either/or.
Oh, and as for your sig, I've had that happen to me once. People always fight dirty nowdays. Guess you can't have a "gentlemens'" fight since that was phased out in the medieval ages (to my knowledge). So glad I knew how to fight on the ground, if not I would've been kicked to pulp. It's a double edged sword though; I was so angry I trapped the guy with my legs, tripped him up on the ground, and continually smashed his face into the concrete ground, breaking his teeth. Might sound strange but I started to cry as he asked to stop. Been a pacifist since, although I still do martial arts.
Sorry to digress, but that gif brought back bad memories.

And I can build a great gaming computer for the price of a PS3, and it still does A LOT more. My point is still valid.I own a high-end laptop (nvid 7950gt 512mb, 2gig, 2.4ghz duo) and a 360.
Yes the PC has higher rez obviously and more mods but the difference is minimal and tbh some games just work better on a console or make it easier for a casual. I used to be a hardcore gamer but once you get a house, job, friends, family and juggle them PC gaming becomes a lot more difficult.
And I MUCH preferred GRAW2, R6Vegas, Call of Juarez just some recent titles on my console than on my Lappy. It just worked better imo. Yes the developers may have screwed PC gamers blah blah!!! but who cares anybody whos a gamer and just plays PC is seriously nerdy and needs to get some daylight. And anybody who has the time to connect a whole PC rig up in their living room to their massive HDTV seriously needs to get a GF, friends or spend more time with them at least. I did that once in my life when I was like 17/18 and its seriously sad. Games are great but theirs much more to life. Get put go on a adventure holiday, buy a camera whatever....
End of Rant... X360 is a blessing for people like me who like gaming but cant always be bothered with drivers, patching, modding and the rest of the jizsem

That's great, but most people can't.
It's not like you see newegg advertisements on TV everyday. Or on the internet for that matter. People would gladly pay for a XPS system or Alienware, ignorant to shaving off the dollars you can get for building a computer by yourself.
But hey, what the hell right? I'm not much of a Sony fan, but I'll never be able to play Heavenly Sword on the PC or 360, or all the other great Sony titles.

Can't comment on every detail you have there, and I would disagree with some of the stuff you said, but example here:
Tomb Raider: Legend works better on the 360 than my supposedly better laptop. I mean this thing packs a punch, but to lag in some of the worst places possible in a so so graphically intensive game? That's not on. Still, I play most of my multiplats on the PC, despite playability. However I'm going to have to see whether Bioshock works better on my 360 or my PC, because I want to play that game to the best of my ability.
As for that cheap girlfriend comment, I guess that's sort of true. I mean, I assume that's why some gaming enthusiasts look for girls who enjoy video games as much as them. The "other" girls are fine with it, but I think the problem is time management. And when you have a grand setup, you want to be using that hard earned money to the most. Think it's more a psychological thing though, rather than an addiction (ie PC = hardcore, consoles = casual).
