PC always beats 360 in Multiplats

It's not like you see newegg advertisements on TV everyday. Or on the internet for that matter. People would gladly pay for a XPS system or Alienware, ignorant to shaving off the dollars you can get for building a computer by yourself.

But hey, what the hell right? I'm not much of a Sony fan, but I'll never be able to play Heavenly Sword on the PC or 360, or all the other great Sony titles.

Anyways back to the topic. I never said anything was wrong with consoles, myarguement was that PC's are the better bang for your buck because they are capable of a lot more. It's a valid and fair statement, you can beat around the bush all day and we can argue until the cows come home, but you know what? We'll get no where. So what would be the best course of action now? Oh, I'm starting to see where you're coming from.

In that case, yeah, let's drop the subject, because quite frankly, you shouldn't be comparing PCs to consoles in that way.

Yeah the PS3 is rather expensive here, which is why the 360 is doing considerably well, and the Wii is sold out every bloody week (oh, and the target demographic is broader too). But people can afford it, maybe not two, but either/or.

Oh, and as for your sig, I've had that happen to me once. People always fight dirty nowdays. Guess you can't have a "gentlemens'" fight since that was phased out in the medieval ages (to my knowledge). So glad I knew how to fight on the ground, if not I would've been kicked to pulp. It's a double edged sword though; I was so angry I trapped the guy with my legs, tripped him up on the ground, and continually smashed his face into the concrete ground, breaking his teeth. Might sound strange but I started to cry as he asked to stop. Been a pacifist since, although I still do martial arts.

Back to the pc it's not that pricey if you know what you want a good dx9 rig will set you back about the price of a ps3 or a little more.

I am atall guy 6'4 and workout I am 230lbs with a 34 inch waist and about 11% body fat so nobody wants to pick a fight with me.I am really a geek to all my friends butI have a mean looking exterior and some tats. Just go to the gym beef up. I also hang out with a crowd of guys from my job who also workoutso that helps. I thought about taking up a martial art but I don't really have the time for it. However I like to watch MMA fight and that stuff looks deadlyI guess you can't judge a book by it's cover. You showed them proof of that lmao

Sheesh 6'4 you gotta be kidding me! No wonder no one tries it with you :lol: Damn. For me it's the other way around. Apparently I look a lot more like a pretty boy so you got all the gangsters trying to pick on me and stuff when I walk down the road. Half of them are all talk so they don't do much lol. But yeah I use to go for the gym look, but now I'm going for the more lean look. So instead of busting out some mean weights to get the biceps and triceps and deltoids etc bulging, about a couple of hundred straight punches is the way I'm toning 'em nowdays lol. Want to have a body between Tony Jaa/Bruce Lee and someone like the Rock or whatever WWE guy out there is. Gah... I'm sounding like one of those girls getting all obsessed with looks lol. Guess it's part of the deal when it comes to Hollywood.

Like you said, if you know what you want and where to get it, it won't be too pricey. But most people want an Ipod rather than the other equally impressive music players, if you understand that analogy.

Could you please list all these pc fps games that blow away the halo series, because ive been playing pc fps since wolfenstein and i cant think of any, maybe Halflife 2 at a stretch.

Very few games on any format cvan compete wuith the single player/multi player package of the halo games.

That bundled with the fact that it was 2 and a half years old (even though it had more mp maps + editor), and it paled compared to other PC FPSs, is why it scored so badly.

Hell here is the GS review summary:

" Halo 2 for Vista is a solid game that probably won't appeal to anyone who's played any recent high-profile PC shooters. "

How about a snippet from the review!

"It's still easy to see why this game was so loved on consoles in its day, but when you put it in direct comparison with recent PC shooters, it loses a ton of its appeal, making it best suited for Halo fans who want a good way to play or make custom maps."

Honestly there are plenty of people out there who make Halo 2 out to be alot better than it really is - and the reality is compared to many PC FPS - its knowhere as good.

And in terms of compeditiveness Halo is knowhere as compeditive as MANY games out there - CS, UT, Quake, Starcraft, C&C, BF2 hell I could go on.

Its a decent game, dont exaggerate its greatness compared to PC games......................

Halo 2 scored badly on PC because it was dated by the time it hit PC. Nothing more, nothing less. It's common sense. It's like releasing Far Cry when Crysis is out. Well Far Cry will clearly get mauled in the reviews because there's new standards but does that make it a bad game? No. Again, most PC games do go above and beyond Halo 2 now because they offer better visuals. sound, and dare I say gameplay than Halo 2 but that's because nothing has really changed about the two year old port. I'm not one to exaggerate the greatness of Halo. I'm just giving credit where credit is due, not mindlessly bashing it. I realise you posted some other great competitive games, mind you this is only FPS we're talking about here, not RTS games. Halo 2 fits in there with those games so it shows it's a good game.

A few things wrong here, and since I am bored at work right now I guess I have the time to point them out to you:

"The PC version handles better"...I've been playing consoles all my life, that means traditional controllers. I've never really been into pc gaming unless of course you count the "punch the monkey" game that pops up on the screen once in a while. If I were to suddenly decide to go with the pc verison, there is no way I'd be able to control this version better than a console version. For PC gamers, it's probably quite the opposite, which is why it doesn't really make sense to compare personal opinions on how well this game "handles".

And it's easy to put in a little "disregard" sentence with some brackets around it and hope nobody talks about it, but it is ignoring a key point: you are comparing a $1000+ set up with a $400 setup, and all the link describes is some improved shadows and some clearer particle effects. Doesn't sound like much of a bargain to me.

And a clue for you: GRAW. 360/pc multiplat? Yes. But play each version and tell me which is the "inferior multiplat". I'm not so stupid as to agree with the people you are attacking in this thread who believe all 360 multiplate are better...but what I do believe is that alot of it has to do with the developer and the type of system the pc game is running on.
