No interest. Had to go 4080S after the 3080 kicked the bucket (just outside warranty), so gonna hopefully hold onto that for 2 gens and then do a new PC build.
@robertos: Put a few dirty undies on top of your PC in it’s “ventilated case” and no worries about theft 😂

If it was EVGA, and your gpu died just outside of warranty (within a few months), they would still send you a new one, or repair yours. I miss them😭
Still rocking the 2070 super
Maybe I'll upgrade
Your pc has more rgb led's than tflops. Think about it.

Yeah, EVGA going away was shit. I had an ASUS and it was genuinely a couple months out of warranty.

Probably, But doesn't really matter, cus I play 1080p 144htz
That's just incredibly pathetic. 1080p in 2024? Wake up.

1080p is absolutely fine for me, man I grew up on ps1 and N64
Also no resolution bump is worth any dip in frames in my eyes
When I see crap like this it just makes me want to jump on the PSpro bus. Sooo much cheaper than buying a over expensive graphics card.

€70 games
€70 controllers
An expensive PSN sub that keeps rising in cost every single year
This is the age old discussion but yeah you can buy a nice 400-500 GPU that will last you as long as a console generation (with added benefits) or you can buy a cheap console and pay more in the long run.

The whole point of buying a beastly GPU is so that you don't have a dip in frames when you bump the resolution. Resolution, max settings, ray tracing, frame rate....

What does systems from the 90's have anything to do with 2024? And going from 1440p to 4k is not worth it because of massive fps loss (unless you're a balled with infinite cash), but going from 1080p to 1440p is more than worth it. 1080p is a 2008 resolution, and you're playing on it in 2024? Like what is wrong with you?

I only upgrade when there are games that motivate me to upgrade. With virtually everything, up until recently was PS4 and XB1 compatitable. The reasons to upgrade were nil.
But my 1070 is starting to have issues so it might just be time. Also more vram would be nice for SolidWorks.
Nice. I'd love to shell out 2000 dollars for one PC component that no game needs or can use. I'll be sure to get it on launch day, since I hate money.
That is the big issue with graphics cards for me. My 1070 can still run any game I want to play at 30 fps or above. As long as the game is fine and is not a competitive fighting game or shooter, I don't really care about not having 60+ fps.
I dont need 200 fps when playing civilization.
Typical PC gamer room:
Expensive GPU, no furniture, no paintings or other nonsense.
You will soon be receiving a notice from my lawyer for publicly sharing the pic of my room.
On topic, welp, can someone tell me if it's possible to live without any kidney. People might have sold one for the previous GPU.

Any way to get private photo's taken offline? I don't think people's minds are able to process just how amazing my gameroom is and how I got a picture of Iwata in my game room while they have squat.

Yeah when I bought my 2070 at launch that was the case. But I'm not somebody that upgrades with every new line. Just burning money for pixels.
When 5 series drops I'll either get that or get a 4090 because it will be much cheaper and roll with that for another 5 years
I can totally see why people are not very interested in upgrading their GPUs. Unless the Hardware is cheaper. I just dont see most people buying the 50XX series of cards either, much like how 40XX was mostly ignored. Diminishing returns are very real. And the performance and fidelity just isn't worth the price.
