[QUOTE="Cherokee_Jack"]Where is my PC Gamer? I subscribed last month. Looks real nice.treedoor
I did too through Amazon, and they said my first issue should be the August issue I believe.
Probably the same dealio for you.
Isn't that nice. At least it's 12 issues.graphics king?? did you guys miss the horrible streched road textures. They are obvious BS unless we will actually be treated to some awesome looking things while others look horrible..
This supposebly represented Crysis 2 on the PC. Those screenshots look like console versions.
Crysis 2 PC
Stunning :O. One of those looks like a new Supreme commander.. well what SupCom2 should have looked like :(
Yes it does have the foliage! Either way crysis doesn't look that WOW anymore :(
Espada12
The game looks good, but somehow it's not impressive as CrysisRyuRanVIIOh God, now Crysis is going to be posted in every thread about Crysis.

lmao. Yea but crysis 1 will always be compared with 2 until it comes out :P. I have no doubt it would look better but I don't seem to be getting that feeling of astonishment I got with the original.
I mean I guess it's artstyIe but wow look at these O.O
Those are from the E3 build which was an Xbox 360 build of the game.
Obviously higher resolution screenshots, but asset wise, it is what to expect from the Xbox 360. In which case, can you say best looking console game?
He actually specifically states that the 4th image that was posted in the article was "PC, 360 Spec"
So, basically, the Xbox 360 look like that, but they demoed on PC because it is a) easier to debug, b) more stable and c) easier to set up.
Obviously it isn't at the standard Xbox 360 resolution, so that is one thing to take away from it, but asset wise, they are using the Xbox 360 assets.
Guess that is one of the major advantages of their tech. They can take any build of the game and press a button to make it run on all of the platforms without any extra work.
Crysis looked much better. Those enemies look so effing corny! Sure, maybe CryEngine 3 has some cool effects, but that don't make up for a smaller enviornment (with ****y looking characters).
EDIT: Some have said that those are shots of the PC version with 360 specs... that would make perfect sense then why it looks worse than Crysis. But the enemeis are truly awful).
I am going to call it now. GamesCom will have Crysis 2 PC version and every single one of you will be eating crow...

I know it will and we most likely will be humbled then but for now these aren't impressive. Especially with the games coming out.
eh, not that impressive. other games released this year look better (metro 2033 for example). will have to see it in motion to make final judgement
[QUOTE="Ninja-Hippo"]It lacks the wow factor of the original somehow, but i'm sure it looks jaw-dropping in motion.skrat_01Yeah hear hear. It really isn't doing much for me either.
It's the setting; I can't get past it. I want my Crysis in a lush jungle, not a city. :x
