WoW has 9.3 million subscribers great thats one game and its true it beats Xbox live but Battle.net is a combination of ALL Blizzard games.

Nobody is going to favor a videocard over a console, the days of the console is constantly rising and the keyboard and mouse is already irrelevant now in todays gaming conventions because the revolutionary Wiimote is going to prove superior (Metal of Honor).

Even if PC gamers refuse to withdraw their archaic game device, they can plug it on the 360 or PS3 that way so that they dont need to deal with upgrading or contacting Geeksquad.

Hermits are also losing their exclusives everybit as much as the consoles are losing theirs.

I only played WoW for three months. It didn't hook me.

Now before you tell me to grow up, face the facts. More people play WoW than you can count, your PS3 will be useful for probably another year until someone else comes out that makes it crap, and PC Gaming won't die. If there wasn't PC Gaming, they wouldn't be consoles (at least not for long).

5 year old pc can play counterstike,halflife, and most of steam games, it can also play wow and many other games that have huge comunitys, if the game is still being played, and its popular they are suporting the plataform, since it will help developers to develop new games(duh) where do you think blizzard is getting the money to develop both the wrath of lich king and starcraft 2+upcoming expansion(we all know blizz is going to have a expansion for sc2) also valvle and TF2+Portal and ep2. the money came from those "old" games that you claim dont suport gaming,(remember that wow has a monthly fee and that even tho some people that play wow have 6year old pc some will have a high end rig as well you cant generalise)

Ut3 has a huge comunity as it has been proven with actual screenshots completly destroyng the TC argument, also Team Fortress 2 has a pretty big comunity for a new game, Cod4 seem to be going well, CS s, Warcraft 3 has a HUGE comunity, as do WoW and pretty much any blizzard game.

halo 3 has the biggest comunity for console games, so if you rather play on consoles id recomend that one even tho iam not a big fan of the game.

You assume all PC games are like Crysis, personally my five year old computer runs Galactic Civilizations II: Dark Avatar (2007) and Warhammer 40K: Dark Crusade (2006) just fine. Depending on how good the next GCII expansion is I might instead pick up Europa Universalis III (2007) or Hearts of Iron 2 (2004?) I am also interested in a fun online RPG so I might pick up one of the Guil Wars games (2005-2007)

Now my computer is getting really old and my work laptop can't pull the FPS weight anymore so I will probably go down to Korea town and buy a new computer, but five years is a good lifespan, no? I mean the Xbox manged three or four?
