Not everyone spends $2000 on a gaming system. $800 would be more of a mainstream mark IMO.

Id Software jumped on the console bandwagon a long time ago. That being said, I don't think it is fair to discount them as a PC game developer. Plenty of former PC exclusive developers have proven that they can still deliver games that cater to a PC audience.

Id's upcoming title Rage on PC is going to be a console port (360), so the company that started benchmarking on PC and started the 3d engine and a company that was supposed to be PC only, is making their first game in 6 years a console port, nice way to thank your PC fanbase carmack

sigh whats the point of upgrading if all these new PC games can run on a pc from 2006?, dont bring up crysis, its not that good of a game anyway, farcry with aliens... and NANOMACHINES

All I want out of pc gaming is multiplaits released at the same time for pc. Is that so hard? I dont care if they are on consoles, I just want to be able to play the superior version at the same time as everyone else. I dont care if pc gaming is better, I just want it equal, at this point for me the little bit of exclusives it has, dont make up for the games it misses out on. Seriously as time goes on, I dont know how many hermits have not went out and bought consoles to go along with there pc's. I love my pc, the games that I get on pc that are also on consoles are always better on pc. but it is no longer the king as people think, atleast not in my eyes.

As long as there is a clock and a motor to run it, the speed isnt going to change significantly in the CD data era of console gaming. Consoles are going the way of PCs not PCs of consoles. I can have more fun with a PC from 2000 which runs certain games best and most stable. The larger the platform, and more electricity it can pump, the more stable. That is whats going to change. PCs are going to stop progressing like cars and the motor do I bet. PCs will always be superior because you can customize it so it runs better. Check out my blog for more info.

hardware wise pc will always be better. But that does not make it a better system. Eatch have there own advantages . Consoles are cheaper and less goes wrong with them . Consoles are a better ownership experience . But pc is better for high power gaming .

WoW has made MMOs noob friendly, except for Eve. pretty much all FPS can be found on the 360, and PS3. which than can be traded in, so that $60 game turns into like $20

ID are not the same as they used to be, half the people that made the amazing games like Quake and DOOM are gone, its barely the same company (kind of like Guns 'n' Roses) and if PC is dead why are Valve still pushing out some of the most amazing FPS games that even look absolutley amazing on pc but look like dog **** on Xbox?

I was talking about new games, and I dont rly download off steam, sorry to say but movies and tv shows come before games lol, right now im waiting for June to download Arma2 9gbs atleast

Consoles have always been the primary focus. Most games are dev'ed on consoles as well. But PC gaming won't ever dissapear. There will always be those independent companies who can't afford the royalty fees on a companies console. So they will put the game on PC before jumping into consoles. Much like Crytek did with Crysis.

How do you know this? :| the PC platform is gaining multiplats, before this gen the PC rarely got games form console.. Now some of the biggest titles are moving over.. And the PC platform still has the numerous niche games.. Peopel seem to have some kind of wierd perception that the PC has huge freak out events when games like Halo 3 was released to the 360 and eveyr one went crazy.. It has never been that way.. Even the original Half-Life was a SLEEPER hit..
