Console gaming - traditional - is dying as we know it, this is blindingly obvious when you look at how near future developments and market models and changing. PC gaming sure as hell isn't it's adapting at a far faster rate that console is - which makes sense really, it's an open platform that s always subject to evolution, not life cycles based on a manufacturers decisions.

People saying that say PC gaming is dying are the same people who says we evolved from monkeys.

To place it kindly, misinformed pseudo intellectuals.

There's an amazing amount of irony in your completely off topic post.

Handheld gaming is dying due to the rise of mobile gaming. They are crappy flash games usually, but addictive to most casuals. PC gaming will never die out completely there are even still games out on the market today that are popular. It may not be the most popular platform for gaming as the consoles but it still has its large base of dedicated gamers and quality games.

It's not dying, it's evolving.

[QUOTE="starwarsgeek112"]

The handheld market faces a legitimate threat from the rise of iOS and android games. I'm not saying handhelds are going to go anywhere anytime soon or that those games are better but you'd be a little naive to think otherwise.

I understand that there will be a new platform in practically everyone's posession that can be used as a gaming platform... but here's the thing.

It's a crappy gaming platform. All I here is speculation from smartphone guys, and all they have to show present day are crappy games that will one day rule the world, just because.

Since when are the games crappy?
