A projector for kids to play the wii together. There is also a seperate section for ps3 and 360 online gaming. I just played the best PC offers, besides CRISIS and the difference is not enough to even stroke a key about in systemwars.

play something like Battlefield 2...you will never find something like that on a console.

Couldn't disagree more. The thing I love about the PC is you get what you put into it. If you don't like an interface, change it. If you don't like a MP map, make a new one. If you don't like the gameplay, get a mod. Graphics looking a little stale, download a texture pack. Want a better gaming experience without having to get a completely new system that may or may not be supported by independent devs, no problem, just upgrade what you need.

With consoles, you're stuck with what comes in the box. Don't think the graphics are up to par? Well then wait about 5 years for next gen. Too much onscreen action causing lag, tough luck, I'm sure next gen will have more power. Consoles are simpler, but simple isn't always better.

For me, the best thing about PCs is, unlike consoles, devs can always push the envelope in technology and gameplay without having to worry about the system being powerful enough to run the game. There's a good reason why almost every gameplay innovation started with the PC.

I have never been a pc gamer and never cared to be. A place called Titan gaming opened up by my house. I guess it is kinda like a arcade, but the have big screen hd tv's, wii, 360,ps3, and gaming pc's. That you pay to play. Its 4.00 a hr, thats not bad. I have all 3 consoles so I only wanted to play the pc games I never get to play. I really wanted to play Crisis but he didnt have it. I did play cod4, gears and bioshock. I only played them to kill time { I have beat them all on the 360} my GF dropped me off so she could go shopping. The Kbm sucks for me compared to the controllers Im used to. These are top of the line pc's and yes they look a little better than the console games but not to the extent you hermits are making it out to be. You just keep thinking that. What do you consider top of the line btw? You probably don't know. More than likely you seen some PC that displayed medicore graphics and thought it was top of the line. I can understand how you feel about the K&M. When I first started to game on PC I used a controller. Then I realized that I won't be able to do my best because of the inaccuracy and lack of freedom using a controller. So I moved to using the controller to move and the mouse to aim and shoot. Eventually I started to use both the K&M and never went back. While the controller is good for things like platforms and fighters, it pales in comparison to the K&M for games that require precision and timing.p

PC gaming is not causal friendly at all. For a hardcore gamer that = lack of depth.

You will not just sit down with a mouse and key board and start ripping people up online if you have never used it to play games. The controller is desighned to be easy to use.

When I started really PC gaming about 4 and half years ago. Like getting into shooters for some serious fun. It took me a good 2 weeks to even get a little cozy and months to become truly skilled with the mouse and keys. And years to become a master.

But after you adapt nothing else comes close.

Damn,where to begin.

-patch support

-long lasting fanbases

-modding communities

-keyboard/mouse

-better graphics

-more capabilities (ex. Crysis is impossible on consoles)

All of those things I just listed,and putting aside the fact that the best games of all time,all the games that have redefined genres,have been PC games. (I know not every single one,don't flame)

Every year the best games released are on the PC. Face it,PC games are made with more care and polish than Console games. Play Crysis and watch the frogs and the butterflies in the woods,all of the inaminate objects you can pick up,throw around,and beat enemies up with. Then look at amazing RPG's like the Witcher,a true RPG,not the Mass Effect stuff you guys get on consoles. (not saying ME is bad,just didn't live up to the hype IMO)

Yes a Crysis could be done on consoles, but it won't be the same one as on pc. You think consoles will run it at medium or high settings? More like low. And medium if they shrink the level size and view distance. Consoles don't have the amount of ram needed and their gpus are a generation behind. Try running Crysis with a Geforce 7900 or Radeon XT1950 and you can get a feel of how it would be on consoles in its current form. But to be honest man, I'm not saying Crysis is this super good game. Its medicore imo.

You know,I did something interesting the other day. I went up to my 360,turned on CoD4,and played the SP level 'bog'. Then I came down to my PC,and downloaded the CoD4 demo,which has the exact same level,bog.

After playing through the level on both systems,the first thing I said was "Damn,I should have bought this game for PC."

Everything about it was 10X better. The controls felt amazing,i didn't have to slugishlly move around with an analog stick,I aimed with the mouse,and I was there in an instant. The graphics looked relativaly the same,but the game felt more immersive on PC. Being right there,up close to an HD monitor,it's alot more intense than sitting on a couch.

This was kind of the final proof for me that everything is better on PC's.

I think it is a very good game, I played it, but, it is not something that really divides the PC from the Consoles. PC=Console except it is just more expensive and a little prettier.

I had a $1500 back in 04/05 computer that out stripped my 360 and it still couldnt play Halo CE nearly as well as on the console. Look at Bioshock, it is just as good looking and big as it is on the PC and on the Console. What people dont realize is that the PC and Console are two entirely different animals. RAM and CPUs and GPUs dont apply the same on the console as on the PC. Ex: Stranglehold. And look at Crysis. Requires 1G of RAM for XP but 1.5 for Vista. See, half a Gig for just one little variation. Anyway, is there that big of a difference from Medium to high?

PCs are dynamic while consoles are static. Big companies dont spend hundreds of millions devoloping these console for the PC to best them in a years time. The consoles are made soley for games so the cost goes way down. So you get the gaming capabilitys of a 1-2 thousand dollar rig for the price of 4-6 hundred.

yea I have never Played crisis. Read the post, THATS WHY I went there, to play crisis. He didnt have it on them system. I played ALL the other console/pc games on the market ATM. That is what this post is about

and best community is important, because the PC community gives custom maps and mods...you dont get that on consoles.

HaloCE was unoptimized. Thats what happens when the developer makes a sloppy PC port, it makes the requirements higher than they should be. A PC isn't a console, a console is a PC except toned down and aimed at the mainstream audience. I'm not sure why people think that the ram, cpu and gpu are different for consoles, they are the same. The only difference is developers get to focus on a single platform instead of developing for the mass array of PC configurations. Thus making it run its best. Regardless what you are trying to get at, the 360/PS3 are entry level PCs. Which don't have the power to run Crysis in its current form.

Graphically there is a big difference between medium and high detail and also a performance difference. But even at medium detail the 8800s gpus don't run it as smooth as one might think. Though I think Crysis would run a lot better if it was Quad core optimized but its not. It only uses dual core technology. So PCs costs $1000-$1500? It depends if you are buying a whole new one or not. Upgrading doesn't cost any where near that much. But lets use what you said as a example, that a individual needed to buy a new gaming pc with everything. Then consider if someone needed to buy a 360/PS3 with accessories and a HDTV. The price would come out to the same.
