[QUOTE="FreedomReign"]Yup all you need is a $3000 rig. Good on you if you can afford it, and still sleep well at night, but I've got Downpayments to make.primetime2121

All you need is a $400 console and a $3000 HDTV to play the 360 version! You can't even play the game on your Xbox! What a joke! You see, I can make up frivolous statements too!

who pays $3000 for an HDTV unless you are getting something over 70 inches...you can get one decent sized 1080p for under $1000

Sorry, thats not a real HDTV unless you pay over $3000.

I mean, console fanboys only consider PC's worth $3000+ as gaming machines, i suppose its only fair to judge HDTV screens by the same measure as a feature you MUST have to play console games.

[QUOTE="coolmonkeykid"]best on pcblackace

Isn't that the case for nearly every multiplat between consoles and the PC?

Not really. Even if the game turns out better on the PC, they still end up selling more on the consoles.

Not all these games end up on the PC. I have yet to see Forza 2,Blue Dragon, PGR4, Banjo 3, Mass Effect or Eternal Sonata get announced for the PC.

I think Mass Effect is inevitable at this point. All the PC devs working with 360 are making their games come over to the PC.

Exactly. Who pays $3000 for a PC when you can get an amazing rig for $900 that will max out Crysis, even less if you wait until Septemeber......

Those specs aren't bad at all! Well the recommended is a fair bit but still.

I have a 3700+, 7800GT and 1.5GB so medium for me which is alright...but I don't want to buy GeoW again ffs! They better release the content on XBL!

What I wanna know is how much "New content" is there gonna be? Im not gonna plunk down $50.00 for a game, that is basically the same. It better have CRAP LOADS of new content, or they can keep it.

shaggymcp

5 chapters...new multiplayer mode...and a content editor (Unreal Editor 3)

Lol, and I think you've just sold him a copy my good friend

posiibly, but my question is, do you have a link on this info ? and also is that 5 brand spanking new chapters ? or including whats in the game already , and then a little somthing extra ?

Its up everywhere...check the GEOW PC page....its 5 entirelly new chapters.

Go watch the 1up special on it at gamevideos.com. All the info you'll need on it right there. 5 new chapters added to the game, new MP maps, new MP mode, pluse the Unreal Editor 3, which is probably the best part. There'll be tons of awesome user created MP and SP content.

Dude your computer is FINE. I'm sure you'll be able to play it at least equal or higher than the 360 version.

If it does I'm going to cry. At least I hope it comes later, much later...or my 360 is...well useless.

I cant imagine playing this on Keyboard though. There is too much to do that even the keyboard keys can't handle quickly enough. I think PC players will need to get a good controller or use the 360 one. The only good thing is the mouse aiming (but in multiplayer that would mean your opponents are equally as good and accurate, so expect headshots every 3 seconds -- frustration, since you dont respawn and now have to watch others play)

Apparantly its exclusive to the PC, along with the map editor to make custom maps, campaigns, and total conversions.

The same happened with FEAR with the 360/PS3 versions getting new gameplay mode and a handful of other extras that werent on the PC. Doesnt seem unreasonable to leave it as exclusive content on the PC.

Gears of war use to be exclusive too.

I think 360 owners will kick up a stink and they'll end up releasing it...for a price.

What do you mean there's "too much to do"? Mouse button 1=shoot, MB2=aim, MB3 or whatver button you want to map it to=cover. Wow, sooo much to do.....

It'll ruin melee. You will have about half a second before the guy whips out his shotty and blows you apart.

Most PC only players will probably disagree....but it does seem like a $40 fix versus a $400 (no price cut Moore  investment )

Gears is still exclusive to the 360, the PC version is a diffrent game. Gears is exclusive to the PC cause it has more content, inculding more levels and updated graphics:lol: You can't argue against this logic, Gears of War is exclusive to the 360 and Gears of War is exclusive to the PC, they are not the same game I tell you.

Your argument really doesnt matter. PC gamers have the flexbility of playing with whatever control scheme they want. Xbox players only have controllers. Each user on the PC can tailor the input to their wants.

UHhhh....yes, I have actually played GeoW. I beat the SP campaign and played the MP for a little while. But hey, belive what you want! You can even look up my gamertag, dgreen2321. I sold my 360, but I'm pretty sure that account is still active.

What makes the controls so complex? Really, I'd love to know.........

Just because you fumble your fingers all over the keyboard when you play PC games doesn't mean everyone's like that. It's easy for me, and just about every other PC gamer....

Okay, with a little practice I'm sure it can be managed on PC but it will really stretch out the fingers.
I've played so much Gears of War and I've come almost to that "zen point of finger articulation" that I just have a hard time imagining this on PC controls. I am not anti-PC here, I have a ton of PC experience as well, which is why I still have difficulty seeing how this would translate. It's one of those rare games where the controller is better than the keyboard.

It's sort of like how Psychonauts, Prince of Persia Warrior Within, and Indigo Prophecy all play better on PC with a controller instead of the keyboard/mouse. Of course, you could play them with kb/m but it's not the best way imo. And from my point of view and extensive experience with GeoW it's a similar thing. Kb/M possible, just not ideal.

Same goes for UT. I would prefer that on KB/m not controller. So I am not being PC or 360-biased here. I just find GeoW to be a more comfortable fit for the controller

Prince of Persia actually worked better for me with the keyboard/mouse, but I've got a lot of practice with that. Indigo Prophecy was much better with a controller, though. I never played Psychonauts on the console to know how it's different, but it was fine on the PC. I played through Gears too with my friend on the 360... I really don't get what's so hard about the controls that makes it hard to translate. It's relatively simple for a shooter, really. If anything, the 360 version needed more buttons, what with the overuse of the A button.

I just want you to explain how you would be fumbling for keys and your fingers would be "streched out"? Like what? I have more keys easily reachable at my fingertips than I do a controller. I don't get where you get the idea that you're fingers are going to be moving all over the place. I have 2 exta fingers on the keyboard to place where ever I want them, with other keys only being milimeters away. There's also 3 buttons on the mouse (more depending on what mouse you have) and the scroll for hte middle mouse button.
