I hope the rendering of mirrors on the PC version is not limited to 30fps. That bugs the hell out of me on the XB1 version. The game runs at a nice 60fps and then they throw in those damn 30fps mirrors that are distracting. Shit console hardware can't even render mirrors properly.

Good news nonetheless.

@mjorh: Some xbots cancelled their Quantum Break preorders because a PC version was announced. They tweeted Phil about it.

Rumor : Free to play Forza Motorsport 6: APEX has no wheel support and no multiplayer.

No multiplayer is a bummer and I have no interest in even trying a racing game with no wheel support considering how many other options I have.

WTF!?! If that is true, why should I play it if I can go play PCars and AC with both a wheel and VR? They are not making the experience very compelling. Stripped down version with no wheel support is not a way to introduce a franchise on a new platform. I don't give a shit if it is free. I want a quality experience. They better not mess up the PC version of FM7 or FH3.

No thanks, just picked up Forza Motorsport 6 and it's a really good package as a whole. Apex sounds like it'll be all about micro transactions.

Yes, they added a lot of arcade stuff to a Sim game.

Like what?

Aaaaand my regret for selling my F6 Bone is gone.

As for the free part - hope it only effects the cars and not the tracks cause that will suck big time.

A forza test on pc without wheel support is silly, lets ship some cars into the market without steering wheel so we can collect feedback from the users on the road. What is the point of f2p if there's no multiplayer? This is effectively a tech demo. Its clear that they just didn't care to make it a good game. If they can't even put in the bare minimum they cant expect constructive criticism. "We don’t think Forza 6 is what the PC racing fan thinks of as a racing franchise." come on MS PC racing fans are a audience of super serious sim racers. As I said in another post, I believe the reason for the lack of wheel support is that all of these Xbox One ports are being sold as UWA applications. My understanding is that DirectInput is now deprecated, so UWA applications do not support it - and all of the currently existing wheels are DirectInput devices. I will be very unhappy if it turns out that the Xbox versions of the current-gen wheels (Logitech G920/Thrustmaster TX) can be supported in their "Xbox" mode, while the PS4/PC versions of the wheels (Logitech G29/Thrustmaster T300) are not, because I just bought my wheel a couple of months ago.@R4gn4r0k We're streaming cutscenes in Quantum Break now? Which idiot came up with this? On one hand, I like not having gigabytes of hard drive space wasted on cutscenes. On the other hand, people without a good connection will be pissed. Should at the very least have a low bitrate/resolution backup if the speed can't keep up. This game being exclusive to the Windows store already had me uninterested in playing this, ridiculous system requirements etc, but now I won't even bother to pick it up when it goes on sale. Gears of War: UE stealthy release on win store, when it doesn't sell well I bet someone from MS comes out with the "Well there just wasn't as much interest on PC as we thought", after they did everything possible to make the game less desirable, rather than just making a good PC game. So far good news to me is Ori and the Blind Forest definitive edition and i hope MS will release Limbo Devs game Inside on Steam.

*Sigh*... oh well.. I hope they add wheel support in the future, atleast we're getting Forza on PC as a starter. I guess they're doing this to test the market, see how it responds before they continue investing for this franchise on PC.

No, all the cutscenes are on the disc.

The live action segments on the other hand need to be streamed.

Quantum Break focuses heavily on the Live action cutscenes which are meant to be like a small tv show. So what happens if their servers go down for a brief period of time? I can't progress through my single player game? What about in the future will they turn off the servers? They're resorting to sneaky tactics that force people to have internet connections when they don't need it so they can penetrate then with an update. Why not release a physical disc version with all the cutscenes on it? Even if it has to be multiple blu-ray discs. Remember the old days when you had to swap discs in order to play cutscenes? Some games, like Diablo 2, would even give you the option of installing the cutscenes to your harddrive or streaming them from the disc. If they really must have all their pre-rendered cutscenes be in 4K, this is a viable solution. The "we don't want to make everyone store a million gigs of cutscene data at once" argument is kind of irrelevant since they could always have just compressed the scenes to a reasonable point if they were concerned about file size. I'm sure nobody would care if they were in 1080p, either, since the average person doesn't even have a 4K-capable system, let alone a 4K monitor.

You raise some very good concerns. Same as I did in a thread in System Wars.

If your internet or their servers go down, you will not be able to continue watching the live action sequences.

But you will be able to download them all. And I think on PC you will be able to stream 1080p versions.
