Just wondering because it says its releasing on May 17 for PC but just say 2011 for consoles. Then again it could just be gamespot being lazy and not updating the date.

There is no console version.
All the devs really have said is, "We're thinking about it...maybe not...ok we are...but we aren't sure."
Besides you could probably find a card that could max it for $50 on ebay, so there really isn't any reason not to play it on the PC. SAGE_OF_FIRE
+1, this game is really meant to be played on a PC. If they did make a console version it would require a lot of work making changes to interfaces and optimizing it so that it will run properly on them. Crysis 2 is an example that just because the minimum requirements request a graphics card that's better than consoles it can still be done, but i'm sure it takes a lot of work.
Exactly. If you have a relatively modern desktop (last 4 years or so) all you probably need is a $50-$80 card to turn your machine into a gaming rig.
MUCH cheaper than say, getting a new console.
If you only have a laptop or you have a truly ancient (half-a decade+) PC then a new PC might be your only option.

They also recommend a quad core, which not many modest desktops came with 4 years ago.Exactly. If you have a relatively modern desktop (last 4 years or so) all you probably need is a $50-$80 card to turn your machine into a gaming rig.

There is no way that purchasing upgrades for your computer is cheaper than a console. An XBOX 360 goes for 129.99. You kidding me?Exactly. If you have a relatively modern desktop (last 4 years or so) all you probably need is a $50-$80 card to turn your machine into a gaming rig.

New? You can probably buy a PSU and a used card for that much.

You can get an HD 5770 for les than that $110 retial right now.
And it's WAY more powerful than an xbox 360. Also that's the price for the 4 GB model. Which means you lose some game features. For example, no multi-player in Halo:Reach.
A core gamer would probably pick up the $300 version, not the $129.99 gimped version anyway.
In which case a kick ass GTX460 would still be way cheaper.
There isn't even a proper console version for now. Not surprising. Witcher 2 will make far more money for CDP on PC than it ever could on consoles and the company is stretched too thin to do more than one version at onceLikely pc was lead platform.
WilliamRLBaker
That said, the console versions will happen and most likely they will ship before the year's end.

That's provided you have a PCI-E slot, provided you have a moderate PSU (not some **** 300w dell), and provided you have a moderate CPU to prevent bottleneck. And what? I have the core, and I play halo reach on my gold account?[QUOTE="Kinthalis"]

2. Even with a cpu bottleneck you are still going to have good performance.
3. With even a 350 watt psu you can run some of the lower end of the 6000 series from ati and still play games pretty well.

1. Not all generic PC's from a BB retailer is going to come with a PCIE, especially the $400 e-machines, or dell boxes most people buy. 2. Once you hit a game that is CPU intensive, kiss goodbye to your performance. 3. And no you can't. Most manufacturers when designing a mass-market PC choose a PSU that can solely operate the machine at its stock configuration. Yeah, the game is not THAT hard to run if their specs are accurate. My rig will max it out with silky smooth frames no problem.

its not confirmed for Consoles
same as Diablo 3, Mike Morhaime said they will look into it after the PC version, Witcher devs said the same thing
If you have a PC with a dual core and 3 / 4gb of RAM, and a spare PCI-E slot, just buy a midrange GPU for 50 / 60 dollar and play the game at 720p :D

Actually 129.99 is brand new.[QUOTE="mitu123"]
This game shouldn't be on consoles, I don't think it would control well with how it plays.

I don't think it will have a problem with a controller. It's not wow with its 100 skills and no DA:O where you control a party of 4. It's pretty simple.
I don't think it'll feel like a console game though unless they dumb it down to get it to work.[QUOTE="mitu123"]

Yea, it's control setup's probably more simple than Bayonetta/DMC, hell of a lot prettier and hopefully the story is good. Please Log In to post.
