I mean in terms of power. My friend likes his Xbox One and I have played a couple of X1 games on it and it's seems like a cool system.

looks like my old radeon 5850 has the power of 1.6 xboxes while my newish (6 month old) 270x has 2.1 xboxes lol

playing dark souls 2 maxxed out via my tv with a xbox pad and its silky smooth and fast glad i waited for the pc one as i have the other 2 games on the ps3, so i know how bad they slow down, blight town anyone? 60 fps constant with high res textures and aa every where :)

I got my GTX 760 for $240 on newegg with a $10 rebate card bringing it down to $230, but yet cant find the same model for under $260now , they do run promo's seeing a gpu $20 off with extra rebates over normal price is not rare. Go cry some more

god 270 cards should be pretty cheap my 270x i got just before christmas was only about 130 pounds and it came with a solar power torch a multi tool for pc's and a didital copy off battlefield 4, so a bog standard 270 with no x should be cheap as hell now, unless they have been selling well then they might stay at a consistant price for months.

my one has a nice non reference cooler as well and its silent.

edit : just been looking at prices for my card and it looks like its holding it's price range from when i got it when bf4 was a 40 pound game theres my card with no solar power torches or tools or bf4 for more than i paid plus i got free shipping from ocuk :(

edit : be warned you will need a tidy pc case to fit one of them i barely managed to fit it in my pc case i had to move a hard drive to make room for how long it is and its also very wide, lets hope the non x version isnt as big :)

They are in the same league. Looking at relative performance at 2560x1440, the 7970Ghz and 280x are usually a few percent faster though.

e: X1 shader performance peak is at 1.23 TFLOPS and my card is at 3.1 so i guess i'm doing good.

They will make a game based on the average specs of household PCs so everyone can play and in turn the developers make money. Any additional power goes to things like anti-aliasing and a few Bells & Whistles. But not better overall visuals.

And this will stay like that until WE, the consoles players, say so. Notice that there has not been a significant jump in graphics on PC yet (other than resolution and a few other things)? That's because developers are juggling between PS3/360/PS4/XONE and PC.

I was told that my 7870's OC to around stock 680 levels.

That said, without them OC'ed (which they are at stock now) it would be comparable to 4 Xbox One's. According to that picture.

Seems that my old gpu (I still have), which is a 6850 is at 1.1 Xbone's.

I would like to see these same kind of charts three years from now. The performance gap between the PC and consoles will only keep on getting bigger.
