i've been thinking lately in investing in a gaming PC, and selling my 360 with some games to shore up for the components.

Reason is, in my one year anniversary in owning a 360, i only played it to complete 3 games on it. all others i have extensivley played on my PS3.

With this year, there are only 3 games that are coming on to 360 but on PS3, and those three are also gonna be on PC. Mass Effect 2, Splincer Cell Conviction, and Metro 2033.

I've got a 42 inch LCD that i can hook up the TV too.

and it will finally allow me to max out those older games i could never max out like SimCity 4, Battlefield 2, Roller Coaster Tycoon 3.

the components i'm picking up are as follows.

Ram

Graphics Card

Motherboard

CD DVD burner

Processer

500gb Harddrive

Window's 7

still looking for a stylish case to put it all in. but i was thinking of what others thought?

I should mention, my folks have a 360, and my two brothers each have their own Xbox's. so it's not like i won't ever have access to one.

Never understood why there is so many threads like this where someone asks random strangers to tell them what they will enjoy more.

If you have PS 3 already, then the only real combo is the PC/PS 3, imho. Unless you really HAVE to keep playing Halo and GeOW series and a big fan of them...which you don't sound to be.

Don't really know as you're essentially spending a lot of money just to play higher resolution versions of 360 games.

Also, your poll won't work as sony fanboys will just vote PC.

Just like this troll above me.

oh, definatley get the gaming pc. But there is no real reason to get rid of the 360. You wont get much money for it, and there MAY be one or two exclusive 360 games that you may want to play this year...or next.

that is nice, but i'm a bit of a utilitarian. I need to have my stuff be used, if it sits there for a weeks/months on end with no play or work on it, it quickly seems like a lot of money spent on nothing. That's probably why an upgradable, entertainment hub. my PS3 does the same for me as well.

Oh you got a PS3? Then that changes up things a bit.. Yeah sell the 360 and build a PC unless you cannot live without some of the xbox exclusives. Then again you said something about your family having a 360 so if you absolutely have to play a game you can play theirs.

As said before, there's next to no point in having your 360 if you have PS3/PC. Unless you have a lot of mates with 360s, just ditch it - you won't miss too much.

that doesn't seem very logical. You'd lose money, and have nothing than to have something sitting around. I could understand if you were on the move a lot and did want it taking up space. Also just because something isn't being used doesn't mean it's not useful. My ps3 collects dust most the time, but that doesn't mean it's not useful. Heck just this fall I played UC2, and Demon's Soul which was well worth it. Another example is my laptop which I barely use except for when I'm traveling. Sometimes I don't travel for months and it would seem worthless, but when I travel it's essential.

Anyway my advice is keep the 360 you never know when it'll come in helpful.

PC is the obvious choice. Ever since I upgraded my PC I haven't used my 360 for anything but Forza 3.

good choice since pretty much every 360 game is on the PC but are you sure you dont want the AMD flagship CPU?

I'm a Console gamer so for me, I'd rather have a 360. On top of the games you listed (the TC) I want exclusives like Alan Wake, Halo Reach, and Crackdown 2. So, for me, a 360 all the way.

Keep your 360 though, you're not going to get much for it anyway. Best of both worlds.

Screw the 360 and go PC. You might want to get a video card that has 256bit GDDR memory, that one has 128bit. This one is better, but a little more expensive...

Over December I actually built up my first PC. Let me tell you, PC gaming is awesome. I got meself Crysis, The Witcher and Dawn of War 2 and it's been great so far, there is definitely no comparison with my X360, although to be fair, i still play 360 for racing games and games like AC2 and Batman AA. But if I were you, I'd definitely go PC.

a PC easily, you get the best games on any platform.

and a side-note, you don't want to max out BF2, even with a cutting edge PC nowadays, the load times are HORRENDOUS, it's still better to just everything on low. my opinion tho.
