lol PC gamers don't support their own platform
Chris_Williams
Is that why we dominate more than 1/2 of the gaming market with just China and Korea?

Better article from http://www.engadget.com/2013/07/10/gartner-and-idc-pc-shipments-dropped-about-11-percent-in-q2/
China and Europe was down, while USA was flat i.e. only Dell and Lenovo posted growth.
Big drop was posted by Taiwanese PC vendors.
Note that PC in transition to Intel Haswell.
[QUOTE="Merex760"]Pre-built PC's are on a decline. Hardware sales on the rise. People are realizing that pre-built PC's are garbage. clyde46People are not buying that new PC, instead they are buying tablets and smart phones.more and more people are upgrading their pcs heavily and buying/building high-end gaming pcs and that's all that matters for SW. It's not like a man using Dell PC at bank or a grandma using HP to check emails from grandkids not buying new PC is of any importance to pc gaming matket. Plus even casual users bought 75 mln devices.

i don't think the majority of people who used to by prebuilt desktops are really going out and building high end gaming PCs. They just realized that they can check email and brows the interwebs on a tablet or even laptop/netbook
Majority? Of course not. The user base of PCs will soon reach 2 billions. That said there is an increasing group of completely hardcore pc gamers who spend 1K on each upgrade. There's already over 50 mln of such people and this group is supposed to grow to 72 mln by the end of 2015. And this is the most hardcore of hardcore. There is a lot more of just dedicated pc users who upgrade every couple years just enough to play all they want. Neither of this group will ever abandon pcs for tablets and smartphones. Only the most casual pc users might, but they never were pc gamers or even heavy pc users anyway.i don't think the majority of people who used to by prebuilt desktops are really going out and building high end gaming PCs.

That said, majority of "eople who used to by prebuilt desktops" are buying new PCs, sometimes prebuilt desktops, sometimes laptops. Yes, the sales of such devices have fallen, but they're still a lot bigger than they used to be in previous decade. So majority of existing pc users are still buying new pcs

Please show me the way... because spending 500 dollars wont get me a "rig" i've tried.... guess you bootlegged an OS and stole some monitor. Those are shitty overpriced prebuilts. Majority of PC gamers build their own desktops

[QUOTE="CaseyWegner"][QUOTE="Mr-Kutaragi"] I think most pc sale are still from bigger retailer. Average consumer do not trust smaller online shop or specialty shop because big retailer have strong guarantee and return policy.Mr-Kutaragi
so i see you quoted yourself (weird thing to do, by the way) in red but you didn't fix the grammar. what's going on, dude?
That is quote directly from xbox team. Maybe you do not see so well. You do not help me with color, how do you expect to become mod if do not help forum people? Other gamer help by message me, very good person. Maybe he should be reward with modding power."last place no game" is a quote from you. why do you keep bringing up the mod thing? :|
Eh still the majority of PC gamers on statistical sheets and such are inflated due to moms that play angry birds, or people at work who log onto facebook to play farmville, popcap games, desktop tower defense browser games, the sims games, and so on. The majority of people logged as PC gamers are just people wasting time with ultra casual games.
There is a reason why the past 3 e3 shows have had a combined total of 2 GOTY winners that were truly PC exclusive
http://www.gamecriticsawards.com/winners.html
Stupid TC obviously doesn't realize that the PC market caters to many different people and needs, and the stats in that article clearly don't relate to PC gamers and custom built PCs.PernicioEnigmaThere a NO NUMBERS for custom built PC's. You have a link showing those numbers? nVidia and ATI card sales mean nothing. lol!! The only numbers you can go by are companies who build gaming PC only like Alienware.
PC game sales hit $20 billion last year, no signs of slowingDespite declining desktop shipments as well as an increased interest in mobile and social games, the PC gaming market is still holding strong with a growth of 8% last yearsuperclocked
This is a troll thread, actual facts showing that PC GAMING is growing will be ignored at all costs.
The system has more revenue, gamers, games, exclusives, developers, and gfx/preformance than any single console.
Probably because you were such a dickish, asshole mod when you did have the power and then turned into such a drama queen when you lost it. Are you surprised that people find that amusing and want to keep bringing it up to try and rub a bit of salt into the wound?why do you keep bringing up the mod thing? :|
