Why? It doesn't day in the OP that we were only including name brand, and even if it did name brand sucks compared to custom and costs more. TC gives us 5 brands to choose from. Choose one. 85% of the people in this thread said custom PC. its annoying, this problem goes beyond this thread. its in all of SW. It's nothing like bringing keyboard and mouse into a console controller debate.
IBM did make the best ones, honestly its asus now though. Dell sucks i have no freaking idea why you guys chose them, at my tech store they were what we worked on more than half the time, and quite a high percentage was hardware failure.

Comparing and picking out components, then building your own rig is half the fun of PC gaming.
Maybe if you're a 60yr.-old grandpa you wouldn't want to take this route since there's more important things to do with your time like ironing your dockers, or smoking cigars and cracking dirty jokes at the driving range.(it's a joke, lawyers)
All the PC guys are going to say custome but really Apple is by far the best out there. You will not have problems and new OS's are always free as long as your system can handle it. The issue is on a gaming site like this odds are your interested in games and Apple really has not put a big emphasis on games so not the best option for games.
Didn't it cost 29 bucks to upgrade to Leopard? And tell me why I should pay so much extra for a locked in Apple PC when I can get a Windows machine with better hardware for cheaper?
