PC VS PS4 Sales No Mans sky

I can see the PS4 version selling better, possibly, I mean after all PC gamers will both have Star Citizen and Dangerous Elite competing for their attention.

PS4 has only been out a year and it's a indy game and lots of ppl who play on console aren't the types that buy indy games.

It's one of the rare times that PC will outsell a game vs console.

Forums is System Wars. Threads can be Console War threads, but it doesn't deter the fact that its still under System Wars. So, if you aren't happy about seeing PC gamers posting on those type of threads. I'd suggest for you to find somewhere more suitable. Perhaps IGN.

The question is misleading. It should be, which version will earn the most revenue. PC gamers are so cheap that many wait until the game is basically being given away before they actually bite, which is basically reducing the loss the publishers/dev are taking rather than making them money per copy sold.

Hermies pirate it at launch to beat a game's story, then wait for the steam sale to try a game's online mode, then brag about how many copies the game sold without mentioning that was at a fraction of retail. That's why so many developers are doing everything they can to get their games on console, even doing timed exclusives on console for games that were once pc-only.

I'm not the one getting all butthurt upset over this.

@lostrib: Just ignore Mr_Huggles_dog, he's just yet another in a long line of bitter console peasants who don't even want to think about the PC, let alone acknowledge it's superiority over their potato boxes.

PS4 has a smaller install base right now but that will change over time and the only thing that will happen is the install base will go up and up and up. People have already proven on consoles that Indies are not a bad thing because Minecraft has sold more than on PC. PC has some mega popular games but all of the other games i.e. games that aren't called LoL, DOTA or WoW have quite small populations. Even FPS like COD which are still mega popular don't have that many people online on PC at any one time.

Unless No Man's Sky fails (seem unlikely from what I've seen of it so far) I think just in terms of sheer user base the PS4 will come out ahead.

McDonald's hamburgers also sell more than restaurant quality hand-made burgers. Everyone knows burgers made from scratch are superior, but hey, eat your McD's if it makes you happy!

also, some people own multiple systems. they might buy a multiplat title on their console because they like used games. some people might buy it twice.
