People jumping ship to PC gaming

umm....everything is last gen tech compared to even a half decent PC...why would you even care about that?

There still has yet to be a game on PC that has reached the critical acclam of anything like Super Mario Galaxy, Halo 3 or The Last of Us  so these guys need to stop beating their chest acting as if PC is so great because if we look to metacritic PC exclusive games are no where to be found on the top 10, but are littered with them for consoles.

No need to jump ship, one can enjoy both PC & console gaming :)

Say that all you want but my point is pretty clear and still undeniable.  Just putting things in perspective for PC fanboys acting as if PC is the be all end all platform.  All systems have pluses and minuses, the reality of the thing is that we choose the ones we want to deal with.

Yes because review scores are what matters more than anything. I can't play a game and think it's good it it scored less than GTA IV on Meta wahwahh

I've been thinking about doing the same as well. PC gaming has lots of perks but it doesn't compare to playing with friends on the same platform.

i have owned the ps1 and ps2 and played games like crash bandicoot, croc, gran turismo 2 and Sly racoon. I had a LOT of fun with consoles from 1998 to 2003. But when i saw someone play delta force black hawk down on pc in october 2003 i knew i had to jump ship. Im proud that i have been a pc gamer since 2003 and the pc is the best way to experience games.

Show them a video of modded skyrim. A friend of mine would always get annoyed at me buying the PC versions of all my muitplatform games instead of buying them for the PS3. says that it's not that much of a difference visually. Then one day he saw a skyrim mod video on youtube.

next day he calls asking if his PC can run skyrim :P

My son was over and we fired up BF3, something that he only has played on the XBox.  He was so amazed by the graphically qualilty of it and it wasn't even at Ultra, it was just set to high! LOL

I'm 80% PS4 next gen, 20% for PC/PS3.

Shadow Fall day 1! Free games WarFrame, DriveClub, and much more day 1! Yes Sony take my $50!!! lol

Happy plodding away with my 360 at the moment though, but once it's past it's shelf-life and there are no longer any games being made for it, then I'll probably be jumping over to PC.

I used to game on PC back in the day (1995-2002), but jumped to consoles, because there were so many great games for both Xbox & PS2 Plus my mates all had consoles, so it made sense at the time. But great games are pretty few & far between on both consoles. Seem like the amount of AAA games has really taken a nosedive in recent years and I'm not particularly impressed with the exclusives on PS4, or Xbox One. Not to mention Xbox One's many restrictions, but I'm not going in to that again.

So, hopefully by this time next year, I'll have a decent gaming rig that I'll be using as my primary platform. Who knows, might buy a PS4 in a few years when you can buy one for peanuts. We'll see. 

I'll be picking up a new graphics card and some nice headphones instead.

In the last 2 weeks alone the PC has 4 Ae+ games, how far back do any of the consoles have to go to get 4 A, AA or AAAe games? I know the PS3 got 1 AAe game recently, but 1 exclusive every 6 months hardly seems worthwhile. Thank you PCblue_hazy_basic

That's why consolites are chomping at the bit for these NG consoles.  Their supply of exclusives dries up pretty fast even when they are coming in pretty regularly (which I imagine it's even drier now because of the switchover).
