people need to stop buying Wiis

Nintendo has become so confident to the point of ignorance. I bought a Wii intruiged by all others in its uncommon style, but for over a month now it's been sitting in a bag in my closet, because I brought it back from my father's one weekend but had no real reason to set it up again. Sure, Wii was a blast for a little while, but for a long time now its been getting awfully mediocre and static support. The worse part? Nintendo is getting into the same attitude they had with the 64 after they made big success with the Super Nintendo: they've really stopped caring about 3rd party support; now to the point where they won't even let them put certain features into their games that a Nintendo title hasn't first exhibited such as online. THere has been little to no reason to play a Wii for quite some time (besides Paper Mario, but I don't care for it and I'm sure millions of other Wii owners don't either). Wait until this holiday season to decide wether or not to get a Wii, because for now it's a summer drought.

Any REAL gamer would want to Wii to fail and fail hard. I mean, when a crappy mini-game collection is the best game on the system, there's something wrong.
And the other games are boring rehashes and sequels to games that sucked to begin with, and what else? More crappy mini-game collections.

Zelda is a crappy minigame collection? I wasn't aware.

And I have no idea where this misconception that the Wii is a mini-game system comes from. WarioWare, Rayman, Wii Sports, and Wii Play. Thats it. 4 games out of like 60.

Yes it is. Fishing, snowboarding, chicken finding, etc. Looks like a mini-game collection to me. Also falls under the category of "boring rehashes and sequels."

Welcome to the weekend! All the kiddies get free time to use the internet and post nonsense! I think the Wii is pretty fun. I've been renting games lately and have found that none of them suck as bad as the reviews claim.

oh, i wasn't aware that 30+ hour epics like zelda were classified as a big ol' mini-game collection. silly me, TLOZ is such a sick excuse for a gaming series. :roll:

The games all render horribly on the Wii.
The control is retarded, you can wave it around all you want but it doesn't work as good as it should for the money.
The thing looks retarded on the shelf.
Its completly over hyped, by a bunch of 10 year old boys.
Honestly since the nintendo 64 there hasn't been a new title worth mentioning.
It costs more then a horse and is completly not worth the money.
What it does have is a good marketing team.

Ah...the sweet sound of Nintendo victory. Face it, the Wii is a fantastic system, and no amount of trolling by you is going to change the fact that it's headed for the #1 spot.

What I DON'T want people to think this thread is about is hardware, it's about gameplay. Nintendo has been selling the Wii hardware with a control scheme that really feels like magic apoun first few uses, and it could continue to feel like magic-- but with super paper mario being the only "worth 50$" title out in a while, Nintendo seems out to only satisfy fans of previous Paper Marios until this holiday season. My DS is seeing more play, and Frankly I looked forward moreso to DS's Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (LOVED Wind Waker) than to anything coming out for the Wii for many a month. Nintendo is NOT delivering its promise towards a system based on gameplay and the 3rd party developer, instead we're becoming as we were with the gamecube: owners of a console with the periodic first party affair surrounded by little to non 3rd party faire. Don't get me wrong, PS3 is in it's own drought too, and 360 hasn't been particularly productive recently either, but it's the sales figures that'll keep Nintendo in its rut of once-in-awhile deliverance.

The Wii is the closest console to evolution.

Funniest thing I've read all day. It has nothing but boring rehashes of games that sucked to begin with. Metroid Prime 3? Twilight Princess? Mario? Don't make me laugh.

That's different. 1.)Halo Wars, for one, is in a completely different genre. And anyways, Halo 3 isn't a rehash of the first two. With the power of the 360, 2.)it will have better graphics, larger areas, 3.)more enemies onscreen, etc. The Wii can't do that because it's barely more powerful than the gamecube.

1.) I guess you would therefore have no problem with mario strikers charged, mario party 8, and mario golf

2.) galaxy has better graphics than sunshine, lets jump for joy shall we. Or maybe there's something other than graphics that makes mario galaxy worth buying???

3.) It shows so far, dont it
