It isn't up to you Mr. forum poster. It is up to the people who stand with you. How many will be standing with you if you get your wish for a powerful system? Considering the powerful ones are usually behind the weaker ones for a combination of reasons I'm not convinced as many will be uniting with you as you think. Your post is completely nonsensical, I am in no financial crisis and when I'm done laughing at wiiuniversity I'll buy my neXtBOX the day pre-orders go up.

For this console so far, I think its best for sheep to stay in their pen. There is no real chance that they will be close to the level of the other next gen consoles and its pretty obvious if you know anything about PC tech.

I do believe though that graphics will not be a true revelation when you are so used to seeing the same engines being produced on. I may be in the minority here but I always thought SMG 2, and Rayman Origins looks a hell of a lot better than many of the games going off UE3 and other engines that have been used for high octane action/shooter games. These only tug at me because of artstyle and a different custom engines ie UbiArt for Origins. The other games for the most part use the same kind of engine with the same color palettes and style which can be optimized but is normally relegated to similar looking games since thats the easiest to produce. In other words, even with the new engines, if they are going to use the same palettes and style once again, it may not be as amazing as you think if you don't look at it too closely.

I'm not being technical here as maybe the shader clocks, resolution, framerate, etc. may be better, but I'm doing this from a normal person perspective where they don't give a **** about numbers and just want to play the game with good graphics that aren't completely off.

The gaming media has been bias against Nintendo, I can't see it changing.

With all of the troubles Sony has been having, I wouldn't be surprised if they drop out of the console race completely. I wouldn't even be surprised if they close their doors altogether.

Well there are a few games built from the ground up. Shinen has one, and so does Ubi, and so on.

Just based off of inklings from tech teardown ppl it shows that the console is weaker at least compared to even alittle older PC tech. Of course there is differences in opinions from devs and many say its stronger and weaker and it depends on the game, while some say its flat out stronger or weaker. The thing is the ones that say it is stronger are saying not by leaps and bounds but normally still in the same ballpark. Common sense dictates that from all the opinions gathered that the WiiU is actually too weak for a leap specs wise. It would need some seriously good leeway on optimization to match what is most likely a slightly more current PC tech compared console. Once again though it really depends on the dev and his game.

I wouldn't call them idiotic or far from reality, just more logical and not fanboyish, sorry to say.

I agree... but without MS & Sony going next gen.... we end up with sloppy ports of mediocre looking games.

im no sheep but you must be in denial the wii u is everything one would want in a console , its got a touch screen its got motion and its got standard controls in one controller , let me see what you got about xbox3 and ps4 that would make me want one so bad ---i already own a perfectly good ps3 and 360 ,

and im satisfied with the visuals they already put out , i want to see something other then ms and sony just saying boys lets just rework the graphics and make it just another graphic overhaul and pump out the same games from last gen with nothing different at least nintendo has given us something different every gen except the gamecube

I think you should recognize that it has been rumored that the 720 will only be a decent jump over this gen 6-8X stronger then the 360 maybe more and the PS4 probably close to that.If that happens downporting to the WiiU may be possible depending on the power and archeitecture of the other consoles.

Plus the PC's internet is free so long as you have an internet provider, sorry Xbox Live don't want to play $9 a month for internet.

Where else but Nintendo can you play truly great first party exclusives while experiencing something innovative? You know why Sony and Microsoft made Motion Controls? Because they saw the Wii's success and thought it would work for them, it didn't.

I'll bet you $5 that Microsoft is going to see the Wii U's success and make a Surface esc. Gamepad that is going to be broken and not-polished, while Sony is going to make a half-assed gamepad with a gumball on top that can change colors.

Well, the fact is that the next Xbox and PS will destroy the Wii U in specs.

It's already having problems matching the current-gen systems so it's the Wii all over again.

It's saving grace could be the lower price and excellent exclusives.

But for multi-plats, it will fall far behind the other system, imo.

Unless they make a upgrade of sorts but to divide your audience it never a good idea for consoles.

Gamers are too used to certain tech that the WiiU may be underwhelming to some. Yeah, slightly hypocritical, but tech should and does evolve. Gameplay is important, but you are fooling yourself if you thinks its everything. Tech builds on gameplay after all, and can make for a better artificial (AI, physics, sound effects, etc.) and natural experience (gameplay, ease of control, being fun etc.).

I can agree that the big N and PC is the best combo though imo if you are not trying to get all the consoles.

Uhhh. What. Epic hasn't yet made it clear whether Unreal Engine 4 will even be running on Wii-U. As of now it's just PC/PS4/720.

I'm thinking it will be, but even if the toolset is there it will still be up to developers to decide if they want to deal with a substantially inferior port. If Epic makes an Unreal Engine 4 set on Wii-U, that doesn't mean it will be on equal footing with next gen consoles. It just means it would be a more "automatic" process to get the game running on Wii-U, but I'm sure the game would still need to be dialed back significantly in order to have decent performance.

Next gen games going to Wii-U, will be like current gen Call of Duty getting ported to the SD Wii. Sure it *CAN* be done. By why bother? Considering Black Ops 2 is another sales flop on Wii-U, I dont' think it will take long for developers to run... far away.

Forget the 720/PS4 machines and NEXT-GEN GAMES for PC.

Wii:U has to contend with 360 and PS3 :lol:

There is more to games than just poor hardware and gimmicks and casualness.
