[QUOTE="momentum_god"][QUOTE="campzor"]luckily im not one of those people who cry about full price games. I also dont want to wait months to play a game i really want to playmadsnakehhh

Yea I get that, but there isn't a need to buy every game at full price

I doubt there is anyone who gets all their games at full price, and if there is someone who does gets them, i doubt they complain.

You'd be surprised about the stupidity of alot of people

I do have a problem with the $60 price tag...it takes so goddamn long to drop in price to be priced reasonabily...
Only 5 games this gen I bought at full price, GTAIV (what a waste of money), Demon's Souls, Final Fantasy XIII, Tekken 6 and MGS4.
They were all titles I was anticipating except for Demon's Souls which was an kinda impluse buy at €55.

But it angers me that Uncharted 2 took 2 years to drop to let's say €20...I'm effectively gaming a year in the past which is never fun because of these goddamn horrible prices. There'd be a lot of more buyers when games were priced $45 at retail...

If I really want to play it, I'll buy it for 50 - 60 bucks. If not, I can wait.

[QUOTE="momentum_god"]GOTY editions of games, usually has the DLC in it Truth_Hurts_U

Yup, and the sad thing is they don't make many of them... Some times they even sell DLC on a separate disc. Physical will almost all ways been cheaper.

It's really the only time I buy DLC... If it's on a disc.

If I really like the game, the DLC is reasonably priced and a GOTY edition isn't coming out I buy it though that only happened once, Mirror's Edge Pure time trial pack, so worth it course it's like my fav game

Most games suck anyways. $60 is a steep price but depending on what you buy, you usually get your moneys worth.

My biggest issue is that price drops are so slow this generation. A lot of them may only see a $10 drop after 6 months. Most of the really good deals you find are the result of 1. Holiday/special store promotions 2. A game is not a big name or it is a big name, but flops. The other thing is a lot of games are heavily built around multi-player and having the current version. If all your friends go out and buy a game, it's not very fun waiting another 6 months to play it with them. Or, for example, if you get Madden 11 for $35, it's not much of a deal when the price drop is due to Madden 12 being released (I don't play Madden, but you get the idea). But of course if we're talking strictly SP games, then yes you can always wait.

I am the same way. I always wait for the price to drop. When I replace my stolen PS3, I will start with all the cheap games I want and work up til I hit the $40 mark. $40 is the most I am willing to shell out for a game. I have no problem waiting on games to drop in price.

60 dollars a game isnt much to me. I can buy as many games as i want at that price. People who think thats alot would most likely be better off with a cheaper hobby.

Well most games you can find on sale when they launch as low $45 or they come with a $20gc. Unless it is a game I really want like UC3, ME3 or LA Noire(getting for $29.99 due to a price glitch) I tend to wait. Games are falling so fast now that you can buy them sometime at half the price a couple months late. Good to be patient especially when the economy is in the tanks.
