believe me when I say I'm also very much into games who's stories and context is grounded in realism. The Tom Clancy games being among my favorites in this styIe. And I'm an older gamer too, but that doesn't mean I still can't appreciate and enjoy games with a more fantastical escapist overtone to them, where losing myself in the role of a "super warrior" and being able to pull off spectacular combat moves of just inhuman skill is very viscerally satisfying. In its own way, its enjoyable for being that kind of over-the-top beyond real game, that makes it more "magical". Sometimes games are fun, when just being games :)

Those are the best. I finished Dragon Age two nights ago and suddenly felt lost and empty because it was all over. The storyline had me exploring every nook and cranny because I just didn't want it to end...my final game time was 88 hours and 14 minutes...all because it sucked me in that greatly.
88hrs??? Holy crap :o
But then my game time will probably come close to yours. I have 50hrs clocked in after completing Circle Tower, Paragon of her Kind, and Nature of the Beast main quests, plus all the side quests in those regions. Plus a whole lot of trotting back and forth on the map doing quests for the Mages Collective, Chantry board quests, and the Guild who's name I can't remember (office in Denerim).
I still have to get the Ashes of Andraste and complete the Arl of Redcliff quest, and what ever else comes after that.
What a game. What a game :)
