Not really, it's just made me much less tolerant of poor pacing, poor controls, and games that only allow you to save like once an hour.

lol. Dude, tastes change as we change in life. That's all we and life are, in reality. A constant state of changing. So try let go see what is next up for you and embrace it. I couldn't get into GTA SA. It just wasn't doing it for me anymore. Then the game kind of changed with4, and I loved it.

it depends on what your job is. I worked some years for a computer company. basically I was sitting all day dealing with software configuration and touch screens. when you come home you don't wanna see anything that looks like a tv/monitor. believe me.

I dont really care for them, Zelda is my favorite series because you can go at your pace. You can wander the forests, do side quests, or go through a dungeon. I enjoy most action/adventure games, but the crazy fast pace stuff just seems to stressful added ontop of everyday life.

Up until the age of 18 or so I was extremely into gaming often replaying games I've beaten and unlocking everything it had to offer. As college got more hectic I began to game less only completing a game once and rarely playing it again on my free time. Now that I have a job I not only play through a game once exclusively and never go back to it but I also sell the games that I beat once almost immediately. If you talked to my 17 year-old self and told him about my gaming habits these days he'd laugh and never even consider the legitimacy of the claim LOL! But of course Sports games are a different issue. As for Bayonetta itself I find it to be a Devil May Cry inspired action game and I've grown tired of them, so no I'm not really interested.

My love for Fighting games have kept me razor sharp, I can imagine though if I let those abilities dull and played slower games for too long, I can see my abilities would wane in the future. I have buddies in their 30's and 40's who are absolutely amazing at SF, Tekken, SC, DOA, VF, etc...and that ability is what you need in a game like Bayonetta or DMC1, MD, NG1, etc.

Not like it used to be. Now, over the top, coolness and unnecessary action games are less appealed to me. It's the same to fast paced action and very hard game like NG. I play a lot of easy going game more now and with many save point. Not enough sleep + a pile of work to do = OVERTIME and non healthy life style. There are exception for few epic games with very good story but still, i tried my best to resist playing too much. My gaming taste is dwindling, not a good sign.

This is true. No matter what kind of job as long as it requires to use computer for whole day, will stay away from monitor or won't stay long in front of it.

I still like them. I just have to be more careful with not spending too much time on the internet or playing games in general after work since my job involves sitting at a computer all day. Weekends and holidays are the best times.

I'm 25, but I still find fast paced games to be fun and addicting. Fighting games have kept my skills up to par with the younger gamers. I'm better at fighters than I've ever been. One of the best Street Fighter players is 28.

Maybe you're not good at the fast paced games? ...maybe...

But..ya, I've noticed I'm playing games less now a days. Even on my free time. I don't have the stamina to play for 4-6 hour stints anymore. I can only do that so often. I wonder if I can handle an MMORPG at this age.

I found Bayonetta to be overwhelming. Sure, it looks nice but I had no clue as to what was happening on screen; and in combat I felt like I was a passenger. It''s an ADHD inspired game for the ritalin generation. Mind you, I am 31.

I'm 20, I go to University, I got some free time, but I've always hated fast-paced action games since I was 6. I don't think age has nothing to do with one's liking. but if you're tired, no wonder you can't play those games!

Honestly, no... not really. I prefer RPGs, over all. But I do like shooters, as well. And it has nothing to do with difficulty, at all. Its solely based on appeal. I can handle any game out there, but that doesnt mean I WANT to... I have seen the clips of Bayonetta, and it doesnt appeal to me at all. None.

I am an "older" gamer, and I have lost a lot of interest in hack n slash games. Im more into realism these days. I hope they can get UFC right on the next round, and I hope Battlefield 2 is more realistic than the "arcadyness" of games like MW2 (even though I do enjoy the CoD titles). Platformers are another genre I have lost a lot of interest in. I guess as you mature, your tastes change with all the advances in technology. As game creators are able to do more, we expect more. I want a super realistic war game, Hitman game, and MMA game

I work in the hospitality industry where you basically are catering to every single desire a person wants, no matter how much of an ass he or she is to you. Games where I can dispatch of someone in a violent and spectacular fashion are more than welcome after a long day @ work.

I don't usually like games that involve button mashing but I will give them a try out if I can. There are some games I really do look forward to and I play more now than I did ten years ago. All my kids have left the roost so I have more time on my hands.

I'm 35, married, full-time career, two kids...

I don't know about anyone else here, but not only do I still like hack and slash, I've found the the number of game types I enjoy has actually expanded greatly. The only type I still consistantly have trouble enjoying is RTS, everything else is still a go.

I'm really looking forward to Bayonetta, Dante's Inferno, and God of War III. Not to mention Mass Effect 2 and Bioshock II.

believe me when I say I'm also very much into games who's stories and context is grounded in realism. The Tom Clancy games being among my favorites in this styIe. And I'm an older gamer too, but that doesn't mean I still can't appreciate and enjoy games with a more fantastical escapist overtone to them, where losing myself in the role of a "super warrior" and being able to pull off spectacular combat moves of just inhuman skill is very viscerally satisfying. In its own way, its enjoyable for being that kind of over-the-top beyond real game, that makes it more "magical". Sometimes games are fun, when just being games :)

Those are the best. I finished Dragon Age two nights ago and suddenly felt lost and empty because it was all over. The storyline had me exploring every nook and cranny because I just didn't want it to end...my final game time was 88 hours and 14 minutes...all because it sucked me in that greatly.

88hrs??? Holy crap :o

But then my game time will probably come close to yours. I have 50hrs clocked in after completing Circle Tower, Paragon of her Kind, and Nature of the Beast main quests, plus all the side quests in those regions. Plus a whole lot of trotting back and forth on the map doing quests for the Mages Collective, Chantry board quests, and the Guild who's name I can't remember (office in Denerim).

I still have to get the Ashes of Andraste and complete the Arl of Redcliff quest, and what ever else comes after that.

What a game. What a game :)

Naah .... Before I actually played them, all the games liek God of War and DMC looked really cool to me. When I finally able to buy a console for myself and tried these games, found them pretty dull (except Ninja Gaiden, which was a bit interesting)

Glad you agree. :) The thing is that I could easily see myslef playing through the game at leat once or twice more. the ability to have different classes with different origins and chopices to make throughout the game really extends the replay value for me.

You're going to probably come very close to my playtime, as everything you have yet to do is pretty lengthy. I couldn't believe how long the final quest was...

...and you're trying to think of the "Blackstone Irregulars" BTW. ;)

Naah .... Before I actually played them, all the games liek God of War and DMC looked really cool to me. When I finally able to buy a console for myself and tried these games, found them pretty dull (except Ninja Gaiden, which was a bit interesting)naval
they're, for the most part, pretty boring

no Bayonetta doesn't appeal to me. neither does DMC. GOW and dante's inferno only slightly.
