I own a Vita and have zero interest in ever buying this game. Only Persona game I own is P3P and I didn't care for it
Yeah... the difference between the two games is staggering, bro. It's more than between Killzone and Killzone 2, or Uncharted and Uncharted 2, or Assassin's Creed and Assassin's Creed 2.
@limpbizkit818: Hey Chaz, remember when this was Blabadon?
Lol. Yep.
Is the game really that good? I've never played a Persona game.
Greatest JRPG of all time, possibly the greatest game ever.

Put it at the top of your 'Now Playing' list. This is one game you should get around to playing now.
Holy shit. You're actually judging game's gameplay off YouTube.
That's actually funny as hell
Yes because the gameplay on another site is going to be totally different. WOW just WOW.
I'm not sure why you entered this medium dude. Your loss.
Yes my loss because I don't have the level of stupidity needed to run out and buy every game to see if I like it. Nor the time, money, or desire needed to do that. I guess some of us are smart enough to watch gameplay videos and read reviews to decide if we want a game or not and some aren't and run out and buy every game they see.
Well after playing the game for two days straight all i wanna say is
what tha **** this game is madness its probably the most addictive game i've played on a handheld since i dont know pokemon red! you know how many times i charge my Vita a day? like 4 or 5 times thats how long i been playing the game for the past 2 days! i have no idea why i didnt play this game much earlier on the PS2 but man im so glad i got around to playing it and i LOVE the online features in this game i click that bubble to see what others have chosen to do on the same day i am in everytime.
The music, the battle system, the story, the ability to get closer with the characters, the unlockables, etc my god there is so much to do in this game i dont think i been able to do this much in a game since Mass Effect 2/3.
havent beat the game yet but its 10/10 from me so far!
Also the ability to watch live concerts and opening songs of the past games? shit this game is packed!
i also love the vita itself for being a beast in terms of multitasking everytime i get a question in class ( in the game ) all i do is go to the web browser, go to google and bam i get the answers!

Well yeah, I kept telling you this, didn't I? You wouldn't listen :P Listen to me next time, won't you?
Also, remember: when in doubt, Chie.
Calm down there bucko.
He's right though.

I've already asked Chie to be my girlfriend LOL
such addictive game i think i'll be taking my vita with me to work tomorrow lol
As much as I have a high opinion of Persona 4, the hype and praise the game gets is ridiculous and getting old. PS Vita has better original titles on it now.
There is no title on Vita, original or otherwise, that is better than Persona 4.
inb4VLR
Ys 4 for Vita?

Good, Chie is awesome yo :-3
A few tips: make sure to have multiple save files around the end of November, and be sure to max out Aeon by the end of December.
Ys 4 for Vita?
Played it, and nah. Not even close.

I completely agree with this. The game is really good but damn.

was just about to post this....wow lmao
It's really unfortunate that such a great game is on a system like the Vita, and cannot be played on PS3. It really, really is.

I honestly cannot imagine this game on anything BUT Vita.
Where the hell were all of you back when the game was released in fucking 2008 on the PS2? It's a great game for sure, and one of the best JRPGs, but this circle jerking of P4G here on SW is getting a little old.
I played P4 vanilla, thought it to be a good but underwhelming game, especially next to FES.
Then I played P4G, and I think it is one of the greatest games ever made.
Bite me.

Yo, the circle jerk crew just got a second wind because the game hitting $20 got a bunch of new users into this series, including me last year.
Char's (and you, I assume) is (are) one of the few of us who have actually played the original. Apparently he liked it a lot, but P4G's ability to fill in a lot of gaps and being an excellent remake have him sipping the same Kool Aid to Atlusland

Ill agree on you on that. I think the game is great but hype is a bit overloaded here.I personally liked P3FES more mainly due to cast.

Ironic because it's an enhanced port of a console title.
Persona 3 Portable was twice this game. Still not a bad game though.
Persona 3 Portable? Or Persona 3?
I am willing to entertain the argument that Persona 3 is a better game, that comes down to preferences.
But P3P cuts down on so much, how would you even put it in the same league as Golden?
I completely agree with this. The game is really good but damn.

Same question posed to you guys: what Vita game is better?
@pyratrum: Yeah, I can imagine that it seems that way. After I let my friend borrow my Vita and P4G, we went over a list of what they added in Golden, it seriously feels like so many things have been done that make the original game almost obsolete. I don't know if you agree on this, but I thought Subsistence's camera changed up MGS3 in a whole new way.
P4 compared to Golden is even bigger. More months, better combat, more things to do, more areas, etc. I totally dig the original game being an excellent representation of the Persona 4 name, it's just impossible for me to see Golden as being just a quality remake.

A game's a game.
That's fine, but his point about "I can't see this on anything other than the Vita" makes no sense.

Sort of, but it's just a game that works better on Vita. I was actually bummed when P5 was not announced to have a Vita version, because I can't imagine going back to playing Persona on consoles.
For the record I have yet to play P4G as I don't own a Vita but I just find that the added elements wouldn't be really all that big of a deal considering that P4 is an already excellent game.
Oh, it is. It elevates the game to a new level entirely, a lot of that has to do because of the game being on Vita, a handheld, and how well that suits the style of play Persona 4 tries to go for, but the added elements and minor changes that they made all come together to form more than the sum of their parts, and a game that is just better overall than P4 vanilla ever was.
That is my opinion, of course, and if you don't see the need to by a new system just to play the remake of a game you already enjoyed (and that is perfectly fine, of course!), but in my opinion, the game justifies a Vita all by itself.
But P3P cuts down on so much, how would you even put it in the same league as Golden?
but P3P can be played on a Vita.
So what P3P doesn't have anime cutscenes or 3D Model cutscenes and no "Answer".
The Gameplay I've heard is leagues better than FES and vanilla.

Okay, char and I differ a lot on our opinions of P3 in general, but P3P has one HUGE advantage over the others by being able to control your teammates. Beyond that, it's all downhill from there, unless you're really into the female protagonist which I never played.

How far are you? Feel free to spoil it for me, the only thing I liked at all about P3P was the story so I read up on it.
Just put it on PS3 already so grown up's can play it. Who's got time for a handheld?
Real gamers.
So not you.

I just finished the Beach Vacation scenes.

Why don't you just buy a Vita TV already? Sucker isn't Regiion Locked.

Same question posed to you guys: what Vita game is better?
I just didn't like the walking aspect of the game. It just killed time and was meaningless overall. In Persona 3 Portable they removed it, which I loved. In P4G I was just annoyed I had to load into every area and walk around just to talk to people. It's usually talking to the same person on the same location every time to level up relationships.
Posting here again
I got it during the Christmas sales for 17+ euros. It was a steal. It took me 90 hours to finish the story and get the true ending+epilogue.
It is the best jrpg of this gen by a longshot. No other jrpg can touch it,not even ni no kuni.It is up there with ff6,7 and chrono trigger.
@LegatoSkyheart: I'd love Vita TV but I have a sneaking suspicion that with DS4's touchpad we may see Vita ports make their way to the PS4. I'll wait and see. @Blabadon Ignore me. I'm high from sweet NFC Championship victory and only lash out because I want them games. @Charizard See what I said to Blabadon, but also suck a bag of d*cks. I probably game as much, if not more than you. How am I non-gamer?
Well, my apologies, I just did not like how you dismissed an entire kind of gaming so off the bat as you did, especially a segment of gaming that is so accomplished and great.

That is a fair criticism, I can abide by that; P4G at least partially alleviates this using the quick travel menu (I believe P4 vanilla had it too)
