Definitely hyped for this one! Looks like they've added more to dungeons than just plain running, which is nice.

i just looked at everything, and I'm a little confused. persona and shin megmi tensei are the same series?

Kind of, Persona is considered more of a spin off but it sort of Became the main series because of it's popularity.

Persona is a spin-off of the SMT series, but due to its popularity, it's become its own series. Try Persona 4 and Digital Devil Saga first since they're the most accessible games in the series.

OT: The trailer was pretty stylish, and I like the look of the city exploration. Also looks like they fixed the bland dungeon crawling.

I have to say the dungions look way better then previous games. Just wished the characters were up to snuff.

This game is on both systems, PS3 and PS4.

Day 1 PS4 for me.

How can you tell they're not already? I don't think anyone was wowed by P4's characters just from the trailers.

Haven't played a good jrpg in awhile..... Mostly because none have been good.

Can someone give me a quick run down of the theme? Also would I need to play the other ones to know what's going on?

Ah okay, they look fine to me but that's understandable. I like the MC's design more than P4. Teddie > this cat thing by looks.

I like the character designs, especially with the protag. Ryuji, Anne(P5 best girl probably) and Morgana all looks great and there's still some "badasses" to be revealed later.

We don't know the characters so we can really only judge them based on the actual design.

Still don't understand the appeal of games like this, not to any degree.

@nyadc: To each their own, naturally. Have you tried them? I didn't think i'd enjoy them at first, what with the large focus on social aspects. However, after playing P3: FES, I definitely understand the appeal. Grabbed a PSTV (after selling my Vita) in order to play through P4G.

Please make the dungeon crawling fun and intriguing. No more of the borefest of Persona 4. Made me quit an otherwise very good game.

So far it seems like the only girl. Is this going to end up a sausage fest like FF15. I hope theres more.

@finalfantasy94: That cat is a girl too. I expect the ratio of male/female to be about 50/50 like P4.

I'm not sure I could justify spending $60 on a game with such dated graphics. Especially if this is supposed to be a ps4 exclusive.

really? I wonder if they will make the cat humanoid later on since thats what jpn usally does.

@nyadc: know your tiny little mind might not comprehend this but some people actually still love JRPGs with great stories, gameplay etc.

Love how you've NEVER even tried this series but you clamor around "WEEABOO!!!" to bash it even though the series (bar Persona 4) is less weeaboo than your beloved Grandia II.
