Thats how i see it in this quote about Move.
"This is purely me talking personally, but I think maybe it's slightly more a device for the core than it is for the casual market, because I think it's quite precise."

Being that he's developing for NATAL with that kid game and Fable 3, I'm sure he noticed Sony was aiming for precsion, and Sonly already dabbled with this stuff with the Sixaxis, EyeToy, and PSEeye. Sony had a clear objective when they were making MOVE, whether that will translate to good sales, is up to the future and games.
Still, Natal will have it's place as well.
It's kind of telling in his quote : "(PS Move) is more a device for the core than it is for the casual market".
That could indicate what the two console makers are going for.
neither of them are really focused on the core market, i think FPS's are a bit awkward on the wii with out dual analog.Well with Move you are actually holding on to the device itself, it would be weird if it wasn't more precise. I don't think anyone expects it not to be.
WhyS
I don't really need Peter Molyneux to tell me that 4 cm X-Y-Z spatial resolution is less precise than sub-1 mm X-Y/1 cm Z spatial resolution.
He tried to touch Milo but just couldn't get to the right place :( Peter sadsalxisLOL.
Is this the same guy that said Fable 2 would be the greatest RPG ever? After that claim, i could care less.
Well he humbled lately after receiving tons of flak from Fable 2. He even recently admitted that Fable 3 is not a RPG  _______________ And dude, change that sig, you'll be stampeded by cows (unless that is was you are here for). The ApocalyPS3 is history and my PS3 self ressurected :PIs this the same guy that said Fable 2 would be the greatest RPG ever? After that claim, i could care less.

Of course it's not. Who expected that body-recognition technology would be more accurate than using a wand? Jesus...

Exactly. Natal inspects your entire body while Move is on a much smaller scale (your hand).
While good ol' Peter exaggerates quite a bit with his game he is one of the main figures of Natal when people think about it and talk about it. I'd say him giving Sony props on how well they are making it is a good sign for Move, and not necessarily a bad one for Natal (except for here where Cows will have a field day).
natal is nothing more than a eye toy copy cat, its the same thing, since the eye toy has been in development since before natal came out, its better.

You are aware that Move use the PS Eye right? If you watched the GDC conference, in that street fighting game, your fighter would move just as you would (if you bend sideways the camera picks it up and it will be translated into the game)He tried to touch Milo but just couldn't get to the right place :( Peter sadsalxis:lol: +1
Wow, kinda wierd hearing that from him. Isn't that kinda shooting themselves in the foot, unless ms is perfectly ok with being casual focused... oh wait thats the same company that killed Ensemble, Fasa ,and Aces for not being casual enough for the 360..Thats how i see it in this quote about Move.

I'm not particularly excited for either but at least Natal will be used for less types of games. I can't see them implementing it in a FPS or action type of game. It'll probably stick to casual games genres meaning it won't mess up the genres I care about like Move potentially can.Zero5000XSee this is the beauty of Sony's solution. It was talked about with Jack Trenton... The bluray disc is big enought where devs can target both types of gamers. So they can put options for control schemes in. Kinda like on PC with mouse options or joystick controls. Same thing. Socom 4 will use both move controls or DS3, same with RE5. It also prevents loss of sales as they can make games for the core and have it compatible with move for the people that want to use it. To me that is fantastic as I will get move, but I love my ds3 and would want to try it on some games but not all the time.
He tried to touch Milo but just couldn't get to the right place :( Peter sadsalxis:lol: +1 Whoa you're a brave one to dare bring up the Street fighting demo. Isn't that the demo where the dev spun ALL THE WAY AROUND and the eyetoy in fact did not pick it up? Besides. The eyetoy was NOT reading your body movements. It was reading the position of the glowing balls and then calculating what position your body must be in from that.
