Grand Slam Tennis was one of the launch titles for Wii MotionPlus, and changed the way Tennis games are played to Peter Moore.

"One thing that became glaringly obvious is that once you started playing Wii MotionPlus tennis, you can't go back to [traditional controlllers]." says Peter Moore.

Grand Slam Tennis's PS3 and 360 versions have been delayed until both Natal and the Wand are released.

The Revolution continues....

I agree with this, I got Tiger Woods golf on the Wii and I can say I will never play another golf game on the PS3....

Wow can't believe Peter Moore managed to compliment the Wii without making some smirky comment about casuals. I think this is also part of the revolution. Having Motion controls as the primary controls for the primary version of multiplat games.

It really depends on the type of game you're playing. The motionplus connected to the wii mote has obvious extreme advantages for certain types of games like tennis games. I have a feeling that Red Steel 2 will truly show it's capabilities applied properly

I'm not entirely impressed with the way Red Steel 2 is doing it. It seems they are downplaying the 1:1 so that the sword motions looks cooler and more exaggerated. It's not like in Wii Sports Resort, where it was fully 1:1.

Peter Moore...that's the Bald, older guy that works for EA, and used to work for M$ and Sega?

He's promoting his Tiger Woods EA game, but maybe he's revealing his age. Perhaps he's a grandparent?

My Grandparent's love the Wii after all. :P

I'm sure if I get Motion Plus, I'll be going back to regular controllers when I feel like it.

He's selling his EA game, Tiger Woods. It's not hard to imagine what Peter Moore is doing.

I still don't think that Wii Motion+ can change games like God of War 3, Halo ODST, and a lot of other games where the controls really won't have an impact on the game, its all about content.

God of War 3 would be made more visceral with MotionPlus. A shooter would definitely get a huge influence from the Wiimote, but not MotionPlus.

That's true, the Wii Motion Plus is a longer object than the basic Wii mote, which means that once you try it, you'll never go back.

That's all well and good. But if you ask me the Motion Plus should have been built in the Wii mote since day one.

^I caught it.... But then I put it back down... Some kind of strange goop on there. (I would have used quite but this html is really breaking my..... appendages) But anyway... I'm not sure quite what to say to that, I have used motion plus quite a bit on my Wii, and its pretty damn fun to play with actually.

I wouldn't know. Like all wii add ons theres not enough support for the thing to justify me buying it. Not a single game makes use of motion+ that i care about. Pretty much only sports games and i'd prefer to play the real thing frankly.

I sort of agree. In games that don't seem to get much of a benefit from additional hardware power, playing with WM+ is great. But take a FPS for example- the best Wii FPS can't even remotely stack up to Crysis and it's thanks to that extra power.

For sports games like Tennis/Golf/Bowling/etc, that really work well with this type of control, I can see his point completely but until these motion controllers are as precise and reliable as traditional pad based controls, which they clearly are not yet, then I still think there is definitely a place for the older type of controller and more traditional controls for those people who prefer reliability accuracy and quality over novelty.

Edit: Seriously...Why TF does the forum keep editing out the word STYL3?

It's still a better move than what Sony did with the Sixaxis and the Dualshock 3 in my opinion. You are not forced to buy a whole new controller just to get one feature.

$20 is pretty steep for an add on to a controller.

Then just imagine how expensive this would be: Sixaxis ---> DualShock 3 ---> PS3 Wand. :P

I agree that the Wiimote can't take the place of traditional controllers for certain games and genres, but for sports games, and sword play etc, the Wiimote really does it better, IMO.

I couldn't see playing a fighting game using waggle, for instance. Motion control is complement to traditional control, not a direct replacement.

Oh, no doubt. I just wish the add on for Wii was a bit less. But then again I got it for $10 bundled with Tiger Woods!
