EGM: If there's one game or franchise you could steal away from the competition, what would it be?

Peter Moore: You know. I've always been a huge fan of Nintendo intellectual property from the early days of owning a super NES, and when I think of franchises that have defined our industry, there's probably none bigger for me then Mario. I'm sure the headline will be "MOORE WANTS MARIO ON XBOX 360," but when you think of our industry over the past 25 years, and you think of the one character that would define what videogaming is about, it's that little Italian plumber.

There you have it, Mario is the biggest videogame franchise for Peter Moore.

Anyways, I hope 360 never gets anyhting remotely resembling a mario game... I got over that guy with 64.

    I know who you mean! As for Moore, I like him. If you asked many heads, they would say franchises that exist on their systems.

I don't like Peter Moore, but credit to him for not saying something stupid like "Halo" or "GTA".

Well, I'm glad he was honest and didn't try anything stupid like saying Halo defined gaming or something. But in the end, it's true, no other franchise can be credited with defining gaming as it is today then Mario.

I read the entire interview earlier today. I thought he answered the hard questions very well. Last month they interviewed a Sony exec and I thought he was pompus.subyman
