MS has been acquiring tech to assist and bolster in game development. They won't be buying/snatching up studios, just simply support developers/studios on releasing pc/xbox. They also have a cloud gaming division specifically tasked with assisting developers.

Simple to see MS will just be a Mercenary in helping studios release xbox/pc titles. If MS was going to buy studios, Playground games would have been snatched up already.

If you were smart you would have realized it wasn't a comeback. Don't let the truth offend you Xbox lover.

Since then, Phil Spencers has been promoted to the executive leadership team, and thus reports directly to Nadella.

This tweet you referenced: "The expansion plan for Xbox is supposed to come from the Windows 10 side. They've got some great stuff (like PA) on W10, but not enough" is now irrelevant. Spencer doesn't report to Myerson anymore.

The status quo did change less than a month after that was tweeted. Just goes to show these "insiders" get it wrong sometimes.
